Never be bullied into silence. Never allow yourself to be made a victim. Accept no one's definition of your life, but define yourself. Harvey S. Firestone

The people with whom you work reflect your own attitude. If you are suspicious, unfriendly and condescending, you will find these unlovely traits echoed all about you. But if you are on your best behavior, you will bring out the best in persons with whom you are going to spend most of your waking hours.

Some people get spiritual because they see the light and some people get spiritual because they feel the heat!

From The Corner Of My Mind

* Channel 5 was reporting the temperature in Bridgeport this morning to be 37 and in Decatur it was 52. W-spouse and I both called a foul. When I started towards Ponder the temperature showed 38 in my truck.
* I got on location early this morning and started rigging everything up. I am now in my pickup with the AC on. I got hot out there and started coughing again.
* I don't like these one day jobs. Rig up, rig down, rig up, rig down. A lot of work for an old fat man.
* I would rather get on a job where we know we are going to be there a few weeks.
* Don't fret Ranger fans. If they lose tonight, might wanna get worried.
* I don't know a lot about baseball, but I do know you can't win many games leaving many players stranded on the bases.
* W-stepson #3 gets his cast off today. He will be in a boot for a few weeks.
* W-spouse has been driving his pickup because it's a standard shift. She's getting pretty good at it. Not only that, but she's been listening to his stereo cranked up loud. You can hear the base thumping when she rolls into the driveway.
* The races are just two weeks away. A week full of camping, cooking, visiting with friends and racing. W-spouse gets to be off the week with us this year. I can hardly wait.
* Is it just me, or does it seem like the Bois d' arc trees have more fruit on them this year than in the past? Is that a drought related thing? Or are the leaves just falling off more and you can see the fruit easier?
* Now they have a clinical name for college binge drinking.
* Now just how many young boys would give theirs back? I wouldn't have.
* The world will be a better place. Why did it take this long though?
* Have a blessed day, see ya Around The Corner!

I'm impressed. Not many people can spell bodark tree correctly. It finally dawned on me that you were talking about those trees whose limbs make excellent blow guns and the fruit is perfect for throwing at things not to be thrown at. Also good for climbing.

Awesome -- that's from Dave's Garden! Love that site. Is that what people call "horse apples?" I've seen a ton of them around here too.
