Never be bullied into silence. Never allow yourself to be made a victim. Accept no one's definition of your life, but define yourself. Harvey S. Firestone

The people with whom you work reflect your own attitude. If you are suspicious, unfriendly and condescending, you will find these unlovely traits echoed all about you. But if you are on your best behavior, you will bring out the best in persons with whom you are going to spend most of your waking hours.

Some people get spiritual because they see the light and some people get spiritual because they feel the heat!

How do you know if you're truly a servant? See how you react the next time someone treats you like one.

From The Corner Of My Mind

* Thunderstorms and lightning to the north this morning but they look to be fading away quickly.
* The general consensus on Sirius NASCAR radio this morning is that the events that took place last night at the truck race was just "lets have at it boys". There are some that are bashing Kyle Busch and some that are saying he done nothing wrong. I'm on the wall about it. I still think what he did was unsafe to other drivers and potentially could have destroyed some other vehicles.
* W-spouse got home late again last night, so I took her to Sweety Pies and we had a quiet dinner.
* It was my first real food since Monday at noon. So far so good.
* BOL. This pest is feared as much as terrorist. For good reason it seems.
* A tweet from Jim Cantore of The Weather Channel this morning said that from North Carolina northward that they haven't seen a storm like this for 60 years. It has the potential to affect 65 million people. Wow..
* The king and master brain of Apple resigned yesterday. I hope it changes nothing and Apple continues to dominate the touchscreen market.
* I will never understand why people continue to keep deadly and dangerous   pets without thinking about the dangers involved. These two will have a long time to think about it now.
* I recieved an email this morning informing me that I was a member of a class action lawsuit involving Classmates.com. I signed up many years ago and never really got into the website. I kept getting emails from them many times and tried in vain to un-subscribe from the site with no luck. I wonder if that was the reason for the suit.
* I just heard a song by the Little River Band. Reminising. Might need to add that to the IPhone.
* We had a power failure on Tuesday at our house. I don't know if it was a problem or rolling blackouts, but I changed two light bulbs Tuesday night. Related?
* We replaced our AC earlier in the year and it's a good thing we did. The old one would have never made it through this hot summer we had. The new AC is much more efficient and cycles even during the hottest part of the day.
* I watched the police chase through Dallas which ended up in rural Wiley live off of a Twitter feed yesterday and at the end, one of the officers pulled an assault rifle out of the back of a patrol car after it was all over and was waving it around. From my viewpoint it looked a little over the top, but I wasn't there nor could I see what he might have seen away from the camera view. Later  the camera panned out and then you could see a crowd had gathered not far away and must have threatened him or the other officer.
* I'm starting to like Twitter.
* Have a great day, see ya Around The Corner!

The python story is so sad, not only did their other children loose their little sister, they've lost their parents. Over a freakin snake! Sheez, when will people learn? Here's an idea, go live in the habitat of the wild animal you wish to domesticate. Those children had no choice. Parents are supposed to protect, not endanger their children. Hopefully prison won't even compare to the daily hell they live with for creating that situation.

People with pet snakes are adrenalin morons. [oofph]

I received the Classmates email too. I hate the junk mail that stacks in my Inbox from those people.

I had to turn on my windshield wipers on the way to work, for, like, over a minute.
