Question Of The Day

What do you limit your children to listen to as far as the music scene is concerned, assuming you have children in the 14 year old to 17 year old range?  Anything ?

I think you could when they're with you but what they listen to when you're not around, would be hard to monitor. My kids probably like a different style of music but I would hope that the content would reflect the values that they were raised with.

Thankfully, this has not been an issue at my house. My 14 year old son like to listen to old country music. I am talking about Hank Snow old. LOL! I believe that I am raising a red blooded country boy. I do have a six year old son and God help me when he reaches the teen years.

Growing up a punk of the eighties, I can't rightfully object to any of the music my kid listens to(sometimes regretfully). But giving them the knowledge of what is musical and what is a corporate sampler helps direct him in the right direction typically.

I only have a 6 and 7 year old, but when my son was 4 and come in the house saying damn (we never say Amy of those words), we immediately stopped listening to everything but KLTY. They love it and I hope when they are 14 to 17 that they still chose to listen to it.
