* The weather is just fantastic. The results of the presidential election, in my opinion, were not.
* I work in the oil and gas industry, and W-spouse works in the medical industry. Both were, directly affected by the current president. It seems we will continue to struggle to survive now for the next 4 years.
* 4 years ago I was worried about my future, and the future of my job. I am more worried now than ever, and I am extremely worried about the future of my children and grand children.
* I have read multiple posts on Facebook this morning that say "This is Gods plan, not our plan". Is that true? Or was this really the plan of people that are lost, people that don't know any better? Is this another message from God? Is this ANOTHER warning shot across the bow of our boat? Is it truly time that America needs to wake and realize that we are in a downward spiral, and that the only thing that will change it, if we don't do it ourselves, is Divine intervention?
* Update on Cuz: He has been weaning off the vent more and more each day. Instead of doing it twice a day, for a few hours, today he will be off of it for a 6 hour stretch, one time. Then tomorrow it will increase to 7 hours. He has also stayed by himself the last few nights and seems to be doing well with it. If you are wondering, there is an adjustable arm, with a straw like tube attached to the end of it, that you adjust to fit right in front of his lips. If he needs to summon a nurse, he can do so by blowing in the tube. It works the same way as pushing the button on the monitor that is usually beside any hospital bed. His spirit and attitude are till strong. His will to succeed has never stopped. You can follow along at www.carepages.com search JDGreen.
* My email got hacked last week. It was a pain in my butt getting the password reset and setting my servers back up. The administrator of my account had to be called, they explained why it had shut down and stepped me back through the process. One 24 hour period last week I received over 1300 emails in one day that said I had sent an undelivered mail. The next day there were 1000, and the next day, it went down. A good friend of mine that lives out North of Decatur, and that is somewhat of a computer Guru, told me one time about 8-10 years ago how to make a secure password. I have used the password that I created that very night ever since then. I had modified it only slightly after my divorce, and only W-spouse and I know what it was. IT STILL GOT HACKED. My recommendation, change your password frequently.
* My bank account makes me change the password automatically every couple of months. I know now why.
* The last few weeks have been a blur to W-spouse and I. The 6 weeks will be busier than ever. With A trip to see W-stepson in Georgia, Thanksgiving and Christmas coming fast, we aren't gonna have much free time.
* Anyone have any thoughts on 12 volt battery powered jeeps/cars/trucks for the grand kids for Christmas? Anyone have one that they recommend?
* I have read a lot about the difference in 12 volt versus 6 volt and know not to get the 6 volt.
* NASCAR WARNING: I got to attend all three races at TMS and had a really good time. We didn't camp out this time, but we will be back in the Spring. My daughter and her friend got to attend the race with me on Sunday and I think they had a great time. I was disappointed in the outcome on Sunday. Jimmy Johnson won again. He is right were he left off two years ago, and it looks like, unless they stumble badly, that he will win another Championship. Although I'm not giving up on Brad K. Our guy, Tony Stewart is mathematically out of the equation.
* We watched SOA again last night and it just keeps getting deeper, and darker. I'm going to try and catch up on Breaking Bad. I hear it's good.
* Our group text is still rocking on. We've lost a member, and are taking applications for a new one. If you want in, you better have your big boy/big girl pants on. One of the rules is/are, you can't drink alchohol, smoke, cuss, say anything sexually explicit, laugh, cry, enjoy anything, or text anything sad, and above all else, you have to have proper grammar and be politically correct in all that you say.
* Send all applications my way and I will see that they are properly reviewed. It's a tough gig, but someone has to do it.

I bought both of my grandsons battery operated vehicles. The first ones were size appropriate 4 wheelers and as they grew they now have the ones that look like Ford F150's. Even though they are appoximately 2 years apart, the baby always wants what big brother has. I love watching them play with them. I continually pray for your cousin. Have a great day!!!

Obama has mandated that NASCAR be disbanded and the cars given to those who have no transportation because too many people enjoy going to NASCAR races. Unfortunately not everybody can afford to go to the races so the government will be taking over in the interest of fair distribution of wealth across all classes.
It's the fair thing to do.
Somehow I don't consider new granite counter tops, media room seating, a Teryx4, an Apple computer and all the other consumer goods you brag about buying on your blog "struggling". Perhaps you should start saving your money instead of squandering it on worldly goods in case you really do start to "suffer" in the coming four years now that President Obama has been re-elected.

My guy didn't win... with that being said...I am afraid. I am praying for our leader and his crew more than ever that he will do the right thing. Aside from that, I'm worried about THE PEOPLE.
I understand that we all get passionate about things but when people start degrading each other over opinions, well, it just makes me sick. The really fabulous thing about the human mind is the ability to think and form opinions. It just scares me to my core that there is so much division. I hope people can recover from this, I hope as a nation we can recover from this. I can’t remember ever seeing anything like this, unless you want to consider Rodney King, Moody Park, or events like that. I’m afraid of civil unrest. The words that are spewing and erupting from those that are so passionate really frighten me.
I’m glad that I have a diverse group of friends. I don’t want to be part of a group of minions that think like robots. I want to know the opinions and values of others because that is what keeps my eyes open and causes me to examine things. But the hatred... I pray to God that it stops soon.

Ugh. There's nothing wrong with enjoying the fruits of your labor via the possessions you choose to invest in -- all "lifestyle" related to familial interests, btw. That ideology drives me nuts -- like you're not allowed to have the things you want to put YOUR money towards?
Is it God's "will" that Obama won? Are we all to be marshmallow Christians and say it's part of a "plan?" That line of thinking is insufferably irresponsible and lazy. LAZY. That's like me eating doughnuts every day and saying it was God's "will" for me to become an unhealthy butterball.
I think God gives us the power of thought and the spark of courage to do something about our convictions in line with His Will. Whether we choose to follow our minds, hearts and the path of His desires are entirely a different thing. Is He pleased that our nation has gone the direction of abandoning values in the face of [forbid] "offending" someone? Hurting their feelings?
I don't presume to know, but I don't believe that God has a big Monopoly board that we're all mindlessly moving across as little pawns of His preloaded game. Where's the Life in such a formula? None.
I'm disgusted about the election. It says a lot about the American people.
