* 32 degrees on the ride over to Ponder this morning. It's really nice, except the wind has a bite to it.
* W-spouse and I had a drama free weekend. For. A. Change.
* I got up early on Saturday and finished installing the winch on the Teryx that I did some trading for. It now has a 4500 pound rated line pull Superwinch. It has a switch on the dash to operate it, and also a corded 10' remote. I had to make a few modifications to the bumper and remove a part of the bumper guard to install the Hawse fairlead.
* Later in the day we went out to Rocky Ridge to ride around for a little while. It was so dusty and the wind was blowing so hard, that it made it unsafe and impossible to see, so we came home after a few hours.
* Saturday evening we met the group text friends, minus one, at Fuzzys in Decatur for Food and drinks. Some great conversation ensued. There is a good possibility that we gossiped a little bit.
* Sunday morning was church and Sunday evening we attended Madisons second birthday party over at W-baby moms house. She was beautiful in her birthday clothes and she had a blast opening her presents and eating her cake. I procrastinated and didn't get the pictures loaded, but I should get them loaded tonight.
* W-spouse and I went home after the party and just rested. Yep, just set on the couch and did absolutely nothing.
* I was all relaxed and rested while watching the race, until.....7 laps from the end. I'm still pissed off about the events of yesterday at Phoenix raceway. Jeff Gordon, who had been battling Clint Bowyer all day, and according to JG, CB had been pushing him around all year, so JG and him had a little scraping bumper incident. That caused JG to hit the wall, and instead of NASCAR throwing a yellow flag (which is usually what happens) they kept the race under green flag. At the same time, JG was black flagged(which means to immediately return to the pits) he stayed out on the track and waited for CB to come back around and then JG turns him into the wall, which also caused them to take out two other cars. Then the race was red flagged(which means all cars stop where they are). About this time JG goes to the pits, behind the wall. As he got out of the car, half of the CB team were waiting on him and a huge brawl ensued. CB was on pit row and looked out the window of his car and saw what was going taking place on the Sprint vision screen, so he jumps out of the car and runs toward the fight. Instead he runs straight into the JG hauler and tries to whoop JG. He didn't make it because there were track officials and guards that stopped him. It took 15 minutes to get all of them separated. Then JG, his owner and CB and his owner were all called to the NASCAR hauler for a meeting. When the race returned to green flag, there were two laps left in the race. With two laps left, Danica Patrick got spun out into the wall and was stopped, crossways on the backstretch. Again, no yellow flag. The race stayed under green, and when the cars came around to take the checkered flag, DP had crossed the track to make her way to the inside, at the same time covering the track in oil. When the cars came back around another huge wreck happened because they got into her oil and started spinning out. Danica got hit again, and another 5-6 cars crashed while slipping and sliding and trying to avoid the other wrecking cars.
* Why am I pissed off? Because NASCAR didn't throw two yellow flags when by all rights, and considering past flags and the reasons they were thrown, NASCAR dictated the outcome of a race. I'm not upset about what JG did. Hey, that was fun watching the fight. I don't agree with anyone using a car as a weapon to retaliate, but it happens in our sport. I DO THINK that there is NO excuse as to why they didn't throw a yellow flag under both of the accidents that happened. There is simply no reasonable excuse for it, and in my opinion, when the car got into the wall at Texas last weekend, and then the events this weekend at Phoenix, NASCAR dictated the outcomes of both races. That is no different than WWF wrestling. NASCAR can not, and must not let that happen ever again, or they will lose any validity that this sport has. The NBA, NFL and Professional baseball all have faced scrutiny for games being dictated by the refs and umpires, and all those sports have lost respect from many viewers because of it.
* Yea, and Clint Bowyer should be pissed off at Jeff Gordon. Yea, I think Jeff Gordon should be fined, and also sit out the race at Homestead Miami next weekend. What he did yesterday was premeditated and no different than what Kyle Busch did at Texas last year. he got suspended for the rest of the weekend, fined and put on probation for the rest of the year. Jeff Gordon deserves nothing less.
* Have a great day, see ya Around The Corner!

Calm down Skippy or you won't ever get those panties unknoted.
NASCAR: Boys will be boys. I do agree that the officials were derelict in not throwing the yellow.
I totally agree with everything you said about the race and what took place. I believe if Nascar lets Jeffy Sue get back in a race car this week, there will be more mad people than we can count.
