Never be bullied into silence. Never allow yourself to be made a victim. Accept no one's definition of your life, but define yourself. Harvey S. Firestone

The people with whom you work reflect your own attitude. If you are suspicious, unfriendly and condescending, you will find these unlovely traits echoed all about you. But if you are on your best behavior, you will bring out the best in persons with whom you are going to spend most of your waking hours.

Some people get spiritual because they see the light and some people get spiritual because they feel the heat!

From The Corner Of My Mind

* The weather is changing quickly today according to the forecasters. Highs in the 50s tomorrow, and a low of 40 tomorrow night.
* For those of you watching SOA, I didn't see that coming.
* For those of you that are watching Boardwalk Empire, I didn't see that coming either.
* Our rig didn't get cut off just yet. We moved to another location. Pray that we keep working.
* Cuz had a bad day yesterday. It was determined that they had tried to wean him off the vent to fast, and maybe to early. They gave him some oxygen yesterday and will wait a few days before trying again. By late yesterday evening, he had regained his strength and his blurry vision had went away.
* That ride is going to be full of hills and valleys.
* I saw a picture on Facebook this week of a buck deer swimming across Eagle Mountain lake. I've seen them cross at Steele Island on Bridgeport Lake, and that's a long swim across the channel in that particular place.
* W-spouse is a good swimmer. She can swim a long ways. When we first got married, we were out at the lake house and she told me that she was going for a swim. I thought she was just going down to the dock and swim back and forth. Later I got worried and went to check on her. I finally got in the boat and went looking for her. I found her about a half a mile away out swimming on the big lake out by the buoys. I explained to her that this wasn't exactly the best place to be swimming.
* Our Shiz Tzu dog Archie is nearing 17 years old. He still gets around good, but he's nearly blind, going deaf and as of the last few weeks is getting extremely disoriented. I fear the day.
* Sophie update: That dog has more energy than any dog I've ever had. She can run and play for hours on end. She has found a new playmate next door. A kitten, and they love each other. They play hide and seek for hours on end.
* Gotta run, see ya Around The Corner!
