The people with whom you work reflect your own attitude. If you are suspicious, unfriendly and condescending, you will find these unlovely traits echoed all about you. But if you are on your best behavior, you will bring out the best in persons with whom you are going to spend most of your waking hours.

From The Corner Of My Mind

* I'm finally back at work today. Have been off since Thursday. We were waiting for the drilling rig to move so that we could move onto the location and start our job.
* The last 4 days were a blur. Friday morning we started out with W-mom at the hospital having a carotid angiography. A procedure to check the blockage in an artery in her neck. At the same time, W-baby mom had her husband at the ER with breathing problems. The dry conditions and an infection caused him to have respiratory problems. W-moms procedure was put off because the doctor had to perform an emergency appendectomy on another patient so we were late getting started. She finally had the procedure and was in recovery around noon. Son-in-law got to go home after taking breathing treatments around 2pm. It was determined that W-mom was to stay awhile so they could monitor the wound so the wait was on. 8pm we were still at the hospital with W-mom and I received a call that SIL was having breathing problems again, so severe this time that W-baby mom called the ambulance and he was back on his way to the ER. We finally got W-mom home around 11pm Friday night and they kept SIL over night for treatments and to monitor his breathing. Saturday morning we were back at the Hospital to check on SIL. He was a lot better so we headed over to sit with W-mom for the day. SIL got to come home about 5 Saturday afternoon and finally we had all the ailing people safe....for a while.
* Sunday morning we headed off to Bible class and church. Our sermon Sunday morning you can find here.  Please listen to it if you can find time. Our Pastor put a lot of time an research in to this sermon. Read The Harbinger for more information. It will amaze you. Well, it did me. There are going to be two more sermons following this one.
* I am now reading The Marketing Of Evil. It hasn't grabbed my attention as much as the last one did. It seems to be very judgemental in my opinion. I'm not agreeing with all of it either.
* I have read 5 books this year so far. I'm on a mission to read 10 before year end. I haven't read a book through in the last few years. Just got out of the habit.
* When we got back in the truck after church I checked my phone and I had multiple messages and missed calls. UH OH, this can't be good. And it wasn't. We went home and changed clothes and headed to the hospital again. A dear friend who's had health issues this past month, had a seizure (maybe) at home and was unresponsive. Ambulance was called and they took her to the hospital. An hour or so later, she was pronounced dead. A few minutes later, the family was notified that she had started back breathing on her own and had a pulse. They stabilized her and moved her to another hospital closer to her primary care physician. She was then placed on ice to cool her core temperature and give her body/brain time to stabilize and rest. They started bringing her temperature back up to normal yesterday around 2pm. I haven't heard anything as of this morning. Please keep her and her family in your prayers.
* Friday I purchased a trailer as you can see in the post below. It needed sanding and painting. W-daughter #2 took on the task and by late Sunday evening she had it sanded and primed for paint. Monday morning her and I went for an early breakfast and then we finished painting it and installing running lights. We also removed and painted the wheels. I had received an gift certificate from Autozone for my birthday and I used it to buy some new hubcaps for the trailer.

* The blue behind the hubcaps was W-daughter #2 idea. It matches the color of the Teryx4 she said. So we went with it.
* The trailer looks a lot better than it did, and we feel it will fit our needs for a long time to come.
* I need to remove the tires and wheels again and repack/check the wheel bearings.
* I also stopped by Prime metals in Bridgeport yesterday and purchased 2 - 20' x 2" x 2" x 1/4" angle iron and 1 - 20' x 3" x 3" x 3/16" angle iron. $160.00. The 3" piece was $58 of that. I nearly passed out. When did metal get so high? Next time I will check Lowery wholesale in Paradise and see if it is any cheaper.
* W-baby mom just sent me a text saying that Madison doesn't have any fever today. Yeah, we had that going on also, but she is better today.
* Also, all the aunt/cousins/sister have arrived back safely home from their girls week out touring the nation trip. I haven't gotten to talk to any of them much about it, but I heard stories of bears and bison already. I'm guessing my aunt might have dropped a royalty check or two at the casino in Deadwood, because they had to float a loan for gas money to get home. You gotta watch those gals!
* Have a great day, see ya Around The Corner!
