* It's been hot the last few days. I have no doubt that you know that already.
* The location we are working on is surrounded by 30' sound walls. Not a breath of wind can be felt inside the walls. I would dare say the temperature on the rig floor yesterday evening was nearing 115 degrees. Maybe more.
* Yesterday evening when I got home the thermometer in my truck was reading 111 degrees. I walked in the back door to find W-spouse sitting on the couch wrapped in a blanket. With the AC running wide open. With both ceiling fans running on high speed. I told her to go outside and walk around for about 5 minutes. I had to later apologize for being a smartass.
* Am I the only one that sees the irony in that scenario?
* Looking back, I should have thought that she works in an OR, where the temperatures are in the mid to lower 60s all day.
* I received a revelation of sorts yesterday. It wasn't from God, but from a friend.
* It is looking like I will have to work all weekend. Dreading that after being off for four days last weekend, and the whole week before that.
* I don't want to miss the second sermon in the series that was started at church last week, so I will catch it later on the website.
* I quite possibly wrote the longest text this morning that I have ever written. The response to my text was nearly as long.
* A Sophie update: She is getting tall, fast. She is such a sweet and loving dog. She drives Archie mad wanting to play with him. He just growls and snaps at her. She has learned, thanks to W-daughters, to high five. She can also sit and shake and I am working with her to retrieve her ball and toys.
* Our Teryx4 has been in the shop for the last 4 weeks. No, it isn't broke down. It has been waiting on parts from Kawasaki to fix a recall notice on the steering box and both front brake calipers. I called about it on Wednesday. I was informed that the parts are being shipped and should arrive in 3-5 days. Our Teryx is first on the list for repairs and the actual repair should only take 2-4 hours. Hopefully we should get it back next week.
* Kawasaki is going to extend our warranties out 6 months from the day we get it back from the dealership after the repairs. I will be calling Kawasaki customer support in the hopes that I can bitch and complain enough about it that they will give me at the very least a gift certificate towards the purchase of some accessories. I doubt that will happen, but I'm gonna try!
* My friend that I spoke about earlier in the week is still lying in the hospital. They warmed her back up earlier in the week and she had a few seizures. She has responded to some stimuli, but very little. It's all in Gods hands now. the doctors have done everything that they can do. She could come out of this in a day, a month or years from now. All we can do is pray for her.
* Those of you that know what we went through with W-spouse 3 years ago, know that the last week that she was in the hospital was a trying time for us all. I can't even fathom the thought of something like this happening to her.
* Facebook is a good way to keep your friends and family updated during a situation such as that. I was up there with her mother on Sunday and her phone must have rang 50 times while we were there, and at least that many texts. You can get on Facebook and update all of them with one post. At least for those that have Facebook.
* W-spouse just called me and said that she had a surprise for me later tonight. I hope she isn't waiting at the door with a shotgun, after what I said yesterday ;-)
* Y'all have a great weekend, see ya Around The Corner!

The people with whom you work reflect your own attitude. If you are suspicious, unfriendly and condescending, you will find these unlovely traits echoed all about you. But if you are on your best behavior, you will bring out the best in persons with whom you are going to spend most of your waking hours.
Some people get spiritual because they see the light and some people get spiritual because they feel the heat!
How do you know if you're truly a servant? See how you react the next time someone treats you like one.

A hint: HarveyLee is actually a misunderstanding of the sailing term, " Hard- a- lee, " used when you are tacking.
