Never be bullied into silence. Never allow yourself to be made a victim. Accept no one's definition of your life, but define yourself. Harvey S. Firestone

The people with whom you work reflect your own attitude. If you are suspicious, unfriendly and condescending, you will find these unlovely traits echoed all about you. But if you are on your best behavior, you will bring out the best in persons with whom you are going to spend most of your waking hours.

Some people get spiritual because they see the light and some people get spiritual because they feel the heat!

How do you know if you're truly a servant? See how you react the next time someone treats you like one.

From The Corner Of My Mind

* It's hot outside. It's going to be hot all day and for the next few days. Yesterday it seemed that the air took your breath away around 4pm.
* I ran into an old friend at Walmart on Monday evening after work. He inquired about our vacation. Apparently he had been reading about it on here. He made mention that he and his wife were leaving Wednesday(today) for their vacation in Mexico. I hope they have as much fun as we did.
* He and I did ROT rally with some other friends a few years ago on the motorcycles. Neither of us had the grey hair that we do now, so it may have been a few MORE years than I was thinking.
* In your opinion, is there more drama in the workplace when there are mostly male employees or female employees?
* I will give you my take on that someday.
* When W-spouse and I went to bed Sunday night, neither of us suspected that we wouldn't see each other again till last night about 8:30pm. She worked late Monday night(1:30am Tuesday morn) and then I had a safety meeting after work yesterday. While at the meeting I received a text from her saying that she had just gotten called in again. She made it home at 8:30pm.
* She works her butt off. Her work ethic is impeccable. She sets a high standard for me and the rest of our family.
* I neglected to mention that I got searched at the airport before boarding the flight home from Mexico. I was second in line behind W-spouse and they pulled me out of the line and I took everything off except my shorts, shirt and socks. They pulled everything out of our carry on bag and went through it, including nearly every item in W-spouses make up bag. Everything was taken out of the camera bag, and both IPads were opened and closed. I had a clear 1 gallon bag with all the camera cords, chargers for phones and IPads and they took it all out and searched it. She then ran her hand around the waist of my shorts and patted me down from head to toe. They were very courteous and kind. I never felt violated, but I was a little upset that I had paid for first class seating and had to wait near the end of the line to board.
* I have no problem with that process.
* Plus, the person that searched me was a smoking hot little Mexican gal! She may have pinched me on the butt, but I may have been dreaming.
* W-mom has some serious health issues pending. Back surgery is in her future, but before we can address that, she has a cardio vascular issue that has to be checked and possibly attended to. Please keep her in your prayers the next few months as she deals with all this.
* I like watching the Olympics.
* NASCAR update. As far as the second round of the fantasy league that W-spouse and I are in. I am in last place and W-spouse is next to last place. She and I both made a duplicate pick which got us a big goose egg one week and the drivers we picked for two weeks in a row crashed out early. There is NO hope of us finishing in the money. We may just drop out silently. ATTENTION  Dale Jr Fans: You currently hold first place in the Sprint Cup Chase for the first time in 8 years. Just don't forget about that #14 car that is currently in 8th place or the #48. Either car has the ability to sneak up there and knock you off that stand, and quickly I might add.
* Please stay in the AC today and for the next few days if you can, and say a little prayer for those of us who can't.
* Have a blessed day, and see ya Around The Corner!

Answers? I don't know the questions. said...

Will pray for W-mom. When you were patted down by Chicita, did you giggle? Did W-spouse tell you to wipe that silly grin off your face?

DH, please don't be shy. It makes my day for someone to stop by and say hi, and also to let me know they read the blog.
W-spouse bites, I don't!
