* It's gonna be a hot next few days.
* Bring it on. It will be good conditioning for Mexico.
* W-spouse and I have been doing trial runs on our baggage weight. Step on the scales, weigh yourself, step back on the scales and weigh you and the luggage. So far I'm way under weight on my bag with very few items left to pack. Our plan is to check two bags (one each) and take a carry on. The boys have not decided if they are taking carry on or checking a bag.
* JFYI: ATT now allows you to suspend any number (which in the past they wouldn't do to an IPhone) on your account. We were going to make W-stepson #3 leave his phone at home because we didn't want any chance for overages on our bill next month, but I called ATT and you can temporarily suspend any number, at no cost, and have it restored when you return. That will allow him to take the phone and have access to his music and the use of the camera without the ability to text, email or call anyone. We have added international plans to my phone number to use if needed. Win-Win for everyone.
* I am running on very little sleep today. Pre-trip jitters I suppose.
* Sophie looks a little embarrassed about her new hair style in this picture.
* The leash she is wearing was a #14 Tony Stewart leash that we purchased at the races last year. While boating a few weeks ago, W-daughter #2 tied her in the boat because she kept jumping in and scratching everyone while trying to swim. In less than a minute she had chewed it in half and once again jumped right in.
* She loves to swim so we need to get her a floating raft or something to get on while bobbing. She won't stay in the boat and just watch, she wants to jump in with everyone. She loves the water.
* Will our debit cards work in Mexico, or do I need to call the bank and have something changed?
* W-spouse and I ate a sandwich with avocado on it for supper last night. Delicious.
* We also received a surprise visit from Madison last night. W-mom and Papa Harold brought her by to play on project DTB for a little while. Her and W-spouse were swinging and Madison nearly went to sleep in her lap. She climbed the rock wall numerous times and went down the slide, but while up on the platform, she wouldn't stand up. She just slid across on her bottom till she reached the slide.
* Can you name the song that these lyrics were taken from? "We sat there and talked, as an hour passed. Like old friends"
* While looking at my stat counter it came to my attention that I have nearly the same amount of hits everyday. Which could translate that nearly the same people look at my blog everyday. When breaking down the ISP numbers I found that assumption to be true for the most part. While researching deeper I can sometimes match the comment and nickname to their location. Harvey Lee...You have me fooled though. I have no clue to your identity.
* A couple of weeks ago a person that comments on here revealed that he posts anon to my blog on location. He stumbled across it while doing a Google search for Labradoodles. Of all the things that I have posted about, I never would have guessed that.
* Well it's time to go play in the hot sun, y'all have a great day and see ya Around The Corner!

The people with whom you work reflect your own attitude. If you are suspicious, unfriendly and condescending, you will find these unlovely traits echoed all about you. But if you are on your best behavior, you will bring out the best in persons with whom you are going to spend most of your waking hours.
Some people get spiritual because they see the light and some people get spiritual because they feel the heat!
How do you know if you're truly a servant? See how you react the next time someone treats you like one.

The song is The Good Stuff by Kenny Chesney. :)
Hope you have a great time on vacation.
The good stuff--Kenny Chesney!!
I rock, I know! I win the prize for the day!
I hope you guys have a wonderful trip and be safe.
Just a few tips from my travel experience I'll share:
#1- Call your bank and any credit card companies you use and let them know you are going to Mexico. Otherwise they will lock your card when an international charge shows up and the 1-800 customer service number DOES NOT work from Mexico. Been there, done that.
#2- Don't max out your baggage on the way down. You will be buying shirts, trinkets, ect and need the room and weight on the way back. You might even want to take a small empty duffle bag with you. Trust me, you think you won't need it, but you will. Don't forget about that Duty Free Shop on the way back!
#3- Have fun!
I guessed Kenny Chesney "The Good Stuff". As you know, I am a Country music fanatic, so of course I knew the answer.
As for using your debit card in Mexico, our advice would be to NOT use a debit card at all. Always use a credit card or American Express. Your debit card number can be stolen by someone and you have no recourse to get your money back. But, if you use a credit card, you can dispute charges prior to paying the bill and therefore, you won't be liable for any fraudulent charges. You also need to let your bank and your credit card company know you will be making charges out of the country so that they do not put a stop on the card and then you would be stuck. This is just some advice that has come in handy for us in the past.
Hope you guys have a great vacation. See you when you get back. I will be a permanent resident of Texas by that time. Love you!!!

It is HarveyLee, not Harvey Lee. Does that help?
Afte a few clues I will unmask myself.
Call your bank! Your debit card will NOT work (credit either) unless you notify them. They will also put a limit on how much you can use it for in Mexico (it's a range and you pick it). Best bet is to use an ATM there to get cash that you will use. Try to figure in advance for two or three days worth, that way you are only charged minimal times for using your card out of country. If you don't do this, you will be charge an exchange fee EACH time you use the card.
