Never be bullied into silence. Never allow yourself to be made a victim. Accept no one's definition of your life, but define yourself. Harvey S. Firestone

The people with whom you work reflect your own attitude. If you are suspicious, unfriendly and condescending, you will find these unlovely traits echoed all about you. But if you are on your best behavior, you will bring out the best in persons with whom you are going to spend most of your waking hours.

Some people get spiritual because they see the light and some people get spiritual because they feel the heat!

How do you know if you're truly a servant? See how you react the next time someone treats you like one.

From The Corner Of My Mind

* Last night while lying in bed trying to go to sleep, rain started falling and you could hear the large droplets hitting the skylight in the master bathroom. Seconds later, I must have fallen asleep. The sound of rain....a magical sleeping pill.
* W-spouse and I made our way over to the funeral home last night to attend the visitation of the child killed in the train accident this past weekend. It started at 6pm and when we arrived at 6:05, the parking lot and all surrounding parking areas were already full.
* That shows the support of our community in such a tragic time. I observed many young people there also. Marcus was loved by a lot of people.
As we walked in the door, W-spouses phone rang and she got called back in to work. She made her way to the front and visited with the mother and we then left. She cried all the way home.
* I hated the fact that she had to go back to work while so upset. When she returned home around 10pm, she was better. I sometimes think that work is her best therapy.
* Please say a prayer for the family today.
 * Went to Frillys last night with the President of our company, our manager and a few of our employees and their wives. A lot of good conversation, and fun times ensued. I drank one beer, and then I gorged on fried oysters and drank about 5 glasses of tea. No wonder I couldn't go to sleep. I was loaded on caffeine.
* I loves me some fried oysters.
* When I got home, I smelled like cigarettes. No, I didn't smoke them, just smelled like them.
* At some point I woke back up last night and W-spouse was still reading "that" book. She is somewhere between 100 and 150 different shades of grey.
* I've read this book already. After a brief discussion in our Sunday School class this past Sunday, I feel compelled to read it again. This time, with an open mind and leave my skepticism out of it till the end. I will be downloading it today. The first time I read it, I was left with the impression that the child was coerced into saying a lot of things in his revelations. I think most of my opinion was based on news accounts at the time, so I'm reading it again.
* I'm throwing the BS flag. This is a scare tactic to increase our rates. I'm no genius, but one solution is to fire the gas burners up and generate more electricity, at the same time using more natural gas, at the same time creating more demand for natural gas, at the same time creating more available jobs in the area, and more importantly, making my job more secure.
LMBO, kid comes out to his Mom.
* Stop by 7-Eleven and get your free Slurpee!
* I would like to kick whoever did this right square in his/her ass.
* Another revealing OCD trait. I shave the same exact way. Every day. Turn water on, apply the shaving cream, shave the same strokes, the same way, rinse my face the same amount of times, turn water off, pat my face dry.
* Tonight I might try to break that habit. I will try standing on my head while shaving. Or not.
* I thought the blog needed a face lift. Do you like it of not?
* Have a great day, see ya Around The Corner!
