Never be bullied into silence. Never allow yourself to be made a victim. Accept no one's definition of your life, but define yourself. Harvey S. Firestone

The people with whom you work reflect your own attitude. If you are suspicious, unfriendly and condescending, you will find these unlovely traits echoed all about you. But if you are on your best behavior, you will bring out the best in persons with whom you are going to spend most of your waking hours.

From The Corner Of My Mind

* It was hot at the lake house last week. The days that the wind didn't blow, it was nearly to hot to stay outside in the shade. Good chance of rain today and tomorrow.
* I would nearly bet a steak dinner that it's not going rain enough in Decatur to help my yard.
* I just said that so it will prove me wrong.
* SOMEHOW the sprinklers got turned off while we were gone last week. Project DTB grass was bit back, but I have it on the road to recovery now.
* Bobbing in the lake after 4pm was the best place to be. Watching the sun go down over the lake, while out in the boat, is one of my favorite things to do.
* I rode the tube with W-spouse driving the boat this weekend. Yea, I trust her that much.
* I had a great time with all the family at the reunion. Fun times that will be cherished forever.
* W-baby mom and her family returned yesterday after spending the week in Michigan with my son in laws family. It was the first time that Madison had gotten to meet her grandmother on that side of the family. They were both thrilled.
* I went over and visited with Madison when they got home. She even called me Papa Wiggins. My heart filled with joy.
* This weekend another tragedy struck in Alvord. One of W-spouse's co-workers son was killed while walking on the rail road tracks. She just sent me a text saying that there is a very solemn mood at work this morning. Pray for the family and her work family today that they might find peace in this situation.
* I WILL NOT post any negative comments towards the situation so don't waste your time typing it.
* W-spouse went with some friends to a girls night out to see Magic Mike on Saturday night. I told them that they could stay at home and pay me to strip, but none of them took me up on it. Go figure.
* It's Malware Monday, if you didn't already know.
* I didn't check the PC at home.
* ATTENTION RBS: The great boat ramp debacle finally came to a head this week. The son is living at the lake house now and taking care of things. At some point this week, while he was gone, someone went down there and launched a boat. In the process they also took out the corner of the rock retaining wall that they had built since you lived there. He has since strung cables up across the road and isn't allowing entry to anyone unless he approves it. I asked Sonny at the Fire Dept Cookout Fundraiser if he and I should take a jackhammer down there and remove the part that we helped you build. I knew it would someday come to that.
* The Teryx4 got a recall notice. It also made it to the 20 hour mark. SO today it will be sent to the shop for the recall and 20 hour service. Hopefully.
* Two weeks from today I will be sprawled out on a beach in Mexico. Yep, just like a beached whale.
* It's time to get to work, see ya Around The Corner!

Thanks for the update on the great ramp drama. Too bad some people just don't understand good neighborly behavior.
We had some good years.
