Never be bullied into silence. Never allow yourself to be made a victim. Accept no one's definition of your life, but define yourself. Harvey S. Firestone

The people with whom you work reflect your own attitude. If you are suspicious, unfriendly and condescending, you will find these unlovely traits echoed all about you. But if you are on your best behavior, you will bring out the best in persons with whom you are going to spend most of your waking hours.

Some people get spiritual because they see the light and some people get spiritual because they feel the heat!

* It's not fun to work in, but we need the moisture and hopefully we will get enough to fill the lake back up.* Last night W-spouse and I purchased Prelude To The Dream on PPV. Tony Stewart puts this race on every year and his foundation chooses a charity for the funds to go toward. This year it went towards Feed The Children.
* There were drivers from all different styles. Dirt track drivers, Outlaw modified drivers, Open wheel Indy car drivers , NHRA drivers, NASCAR Sprint cup, CWTS and Naionwide drivers including such names as Cruz Pedregon, Ron Capps, Tony Kenaan, Danica Patrick, Ty and Austin Dillon, Kurt and Kyle Busch, Kasey Kahne, Ken Shrader, Bobby Labonte, Clint Boyer and of course Tony Stewart.
*  There were many more and some great racing took place. In the final 40 lap "A-Main", Kyle Busch took  the checkered flag and won. Clint Boyer and Kasey Kahne both had better cars and were both in the lead at different times, but both ended up wrecking out bad enough to have to leave the race.
* Kyle won $10,000 for first place and promptly donated the funds towards the cause. Danica and Go Daddy presented a check for $25,000 to Feed The Children and most of the PPV monies went towards the cause also. Tony Stewart owns the Eldora Speedway track where this dirt track race took place and he donated everything to the cause. 20,000 people were in attendance and all the ticket sales were also donated.
* It was a great night of racing with most of the Sprint Cup drivers all having to travel to Ohio from Pennsylvania because they were preparing to race Sunday at Pocono PA. The Indy car driver travelled from Texas because they are racing at TMS this weekend.
* A lot of fun was had by all and before the A-main, Tony gave Darrell Waltrip a ride in a two seat Modified Dirt car, taking hot laps at over 100 mph. The in car cameras showed him screaming like a little girl. It was hilarious.
* A fact was stated last night that 1 in every 5 children in the US goes to bed hungry. That figure shocked us.
* I had just ate and it made me wonder how many children in Decatur or Wise County went to bed hungry.
* Yesterday, I received an email that brought tears to my eyes once again. Things remembered, things accomplished, memories everlasting.
* I just read a quote that said, "The next time that Satan reminds you of your past, remind him of his future".
* Last night while laying in bed trying to go to sleep, I changed the volume on the TV multiple times trying to get it to stop on an even number.
* I could eat Mexican food every day.
* Were looking forward to the last week in July now. Vacation in Mexico. One week of doing nothing but hanging out at the beach and bar.
* I'm gonna go play in the rain, see ya Around The Corner!

Kyle gets a hard rap that he's brought on himself, but I'd rank him as one of the Top 3 drivers in the world. Getting married has seemed to mellow him a bit and that's a good thing. Now if he'd just quit driving for Toyota...

Classy move donating the purse.

The 1 in 5 number is shocking. What's more shocking is is why. I've personally seen good programs like Food Stamps that are in place to stop that, frittered away on Red Bull and chips. Day after day after day. When they do buy food, it's junk food.

They need to restructure it more like WIC where only approved foods are allowed. Flour, sugar, salt, meat, cheese... basic cooking ingredients. Not Blue Bell and Doritos.

From the looks of you...you have never had to worry about going to bed hungry.

You'd be amazed at how many Snack Packs are sent home with local school children in the area so they won't go hungry on weekends.

And OMG -- you and my Daughter! "Put the volume on an even number, Mommy! Hurry! It's driving me crazy!" What is with you people?? 33....17...41...LOL

I could live on Mexican food too. Easily. Italian? Meh. American burgers, etc? Yeah, I like it. Mexican? <3

If someone calls 211 they will be given the address and time of operation for a food bank in their neighborhood. The last time I did that for a friend I was given three food banks within walking distance that were open on different days and different hours.
If a child goes hungry in this country it is because the adults around them don't give a hoot.
Ninety percent of the time it is due to drugs and alcohol usage by the parents/relatives.
