Never be bullied into silence. Never allow yourself to be made a victim. Accept no one's definition of your life, but define yourself. Harvey S. Firestone

The people with whom you work reflect your own attitude. If you are suspicious, unfriendly and condescending, you will find these unlovely traits echoed all about you. But if you are on your best behavior, you will bring out the best in persons with whom you are going to spend most of your waking hours.

Some people get spiritual because they see the light and some people get spiritual because they feel the heat!

How do you know if you're truly a servant? See how you react the next time someone treats you like one.

From The Corner Of My Mind

* It was hot yesterday again, but not as bad as on Tuesday. At least there was a breeze blowing.
* I got the call that I had been waiting for from Karl Klement. #1: Bearing going out in the turbo. #2: A service bulletin had been issued for the 6.7 requiring an additive be added to the engine. WTH? He asked me where I had been getting my truck serviced and I told him. I wasn't aware of the service bulletin and less than a month ago it was in their shop to clear a warning light and NO ONE informed me of it then either.
* This will be discussed in depth when I pick up the truck, which by the way should be done today or tomorrow.
* The Jeep is a great vehicle. Great for running around in on the weekends, rock climbing, 4 wheeling and some short commute back and forth to work. The Jeep isn't a good vehicle to take to a location and have as a primary vehicle to get in and cool off in hot weather. Not only is it very small and doesn't allow for any stretching out room, but with the soft top and sitting in the blaring sun, it makes it impossible to cool off.
* The last three days W-spouse and I have went home and sat under the AC. Sophie looked at both of us last night and had this look on her face like "are we ever going outside again".
* The Watson reunion starts in two days. I used to take off the whole week. Now it just seems there is always somewhere else to go, something else to do or another vacation more important. Or of course, work. We will be out there Saturday and Sunday for sure, and I might get to go back after the 4th for a few days.
* I was interested in reading the Book Of Mormon after reading the book Under The Banner Of Heaven. Just curious about the difference in it than the Bible. Yesterday I looked online and inquired about obtaining one. I clicked on a link that said "get your book here". Filled out the information and hit send. Within minutes my email inbox was sent no less than three emails with information how to obtain the book, and also offers for a visitation from members of the LDS. Never mind, I'm not THAT interested.
* There are members of the Mormon faith living across the street from us. If I'm that concerned, I will just go  over there.
I would like to be in Ireland. Oh well, I will just follow along with Obi. Hope all is well girl and that you're having a great time!
* According to the map, and if my memory serves me right, we visited a home very near here when we were in Colorado for my nephews graduation from the Air Force Academy. It was the home of his host family. A magnificent home on the edge of the Rockies. Beautiful views and Elk walking through the yard. I hope that it isn't in the path of this raging fire.
* Gotta run, see ya Around The Corner!

I thought of this house also. We will ask Tess this weekend. The fire is so horrible, so sorry for all those involved.. Pray for all, firefighters also. Been praying for our firefighters, it is so hot for anyone outside. Love you! Mom
