Never be bullied into silence. Never allow yourself to be made a victim. Accept no one's definition of your life, but define yourself. Harvey S. Firestone

The people with whom you work reflect your own attitude. If you are suspicious, unfriendly and condescending, you will find these unlovely traits echoed all about you. But if you are on your best behavior, you will bring out the best in persons with whom you are going to spend most of your waking hours.

Some people get spiritual because they see the light and some people get spiritual because they feel the heat!

How do you know if you're truly a servant? See how you react the next time someone treats you like one.

From The Corner Of My Mind

* Yesterday was HOT, but I'm sure you already are aware of that. You also already know that today isn't going to be much better.
* We have a cooling trailer on our location and yesterday about 3pm when we walked back outside after cooling down, the heat "literally" took your breath away.
* I don't know if I can take another summer like last year. Hopefully it will be more bearable by the end of the week.
* Now is when you say "Shut up your complaining Wendell". Now is also where I tell you to kiss my....Well never mind.
A must read. That girl is wise beyond her years and a heck of a writer. She is also filled with the spirit of God.
* I don't remember the whole story, but her family and W-spouse used to know each other or go to church together.
* I called to check on Black Beauty yesterday evening to see how things were coming along since I hadn't heard anything. The guy stuttered slightly and proceeds to tell me that a technician had listened to it and couldn't figure out the source of the noise yet. In reality, I drove by there on the way home and it is still sitting in the same spot that it was on Monday morning. He said that they had been really busy. Ok, I get that, but don't feed me a line of bull. Just say "we haven't had a chance to look at it yet".
* I am nearly through with the book Under The Banner Heaven by Jon Krakauer. Man some of those people were crazy town. There is a part of the book when they are in the courtroom and a Psychologist is explaining the mental stability of one of the characters and the defense attorney asks him if he thinks that the subjects beliefs are dysfunctional or rational. He explained, "I was brought up to believe that a virgin gave birth, and that every couple of weeks I partook of a cracker and drank juice signifying the body of Christ and the blood that was shed for me. In his mind his beliefs are no less rational than my thinking".
* I don't know if that made sense, you would just have to read it yourself to understand it. It was a very valid point in the trial.
* Cousin that lives down south, wears a badge and carries a gun, is taking an important test today. Good luck Brother. I love ya!
* Time to get out in the heat, see ya Around The Corner!
