Never be bullied into silence. Never allow yourself to be made a victim. Accept no one's definition of your life, but define yourself. Harvey S. Firestone

The people with whom you work reflect your own attitude. If you are suspicious, unfriendly and condescending, you will find these unlovely traits echoed all about you. But if you are on your best behavior, you will bring out the best in persons with whom you are going to spend most of your waking hours.

Some people get spiritual because they see the light and some people get spiritual because they feel the heat!

How do you know if you're truly a servant? See how you react the next time someone treats you like one.

From The Corner Of My Mind

* Going to be another scorcher in North Texas today. Temperatures expected to be over 100 for the next few days. Few? I bet it's longer than a few.
* W-spouse and I went to Casa Torres for dinner last night. It was so loud in there that we couldn't talk to each other without raising our voices.
* There was a young child that kept screaming out loud. I have two very small grand children, but they don't act like that in a restaurant. If they did, their parents would quietly escort them away for a lesson in manners. These parents, or grand parents, just encouraged it.
* I people watched as they came in and out during our meal since we couldn't talk. I saw a couple come in with their son and what appeared to be his young daughter. The son couldn't have been more than 18 years old and the child was probably two. The grandmother was spoiling the child, while the grand father looked very disinterested.
* I saw a young woman come in dressed very provocatively. She sat by herself and had a taco salad.
* A couple about the same age as W-spouse and I came in and sat directly behind W-spouse. They both ordered Margaritas on the rocks. The woman drank hers like she had just came in from walking across the Sahara desert. She quickly ordered another.
* While we ate, the waiting area filled up. It was a maze just trying to get out the door.
* The other person that I watched sat directly across from me. Her long dark hair flowing from her shoulders. Her warm loving smile. The two beautiful eyes looking back at me was my wife, my friend, my confidant. Her love radiates to so many people. Especially me, our children, our grandchildren and our families.
* I think W-spouse is going to have babysitting duties on Saturday. There isn't much that will make her happier than that. Hopefully W-baby mom can bring Madison over for a while so that they can play on project DTB.
* I read a question this morning. Which would be more true for you—excitement to go to heaven or sadness upon leaving earth? What does your answer say about you?
* That's a tough one. I want to see my kids and grand children grow up. I want to play with all my toys. I want to go see a few places on earth that I always longed to see. I want to spend a lot of quality time with my wife. But......Heaven, you won't want or need anything, and I would once again be able to see, and talk to my grandfather.
* That sure sounded selfish of me.
* To my "Old Friend". If you're an old friend of mine, you know already that giving me "ration of s**t" doesn't bother me. Yes, we are truly blessed. With so much. And...."I GET to work again this Saturday"!!
Obi has landed. Follow along with them here!
* I mentioned the bus monitor lady yesterday. Well it seems a person that felt sorry for her, like most of the world does, has started a page to donate towards paying for her a vacation. Thirty days to donate $5000. This morning the total was at $470,384. It makes my heart jump with joy knowing that there are that many people left in this world that feel that strongly towards her situation. That also feel so strongly opposed of the heathens and thugs that berated her in the first place. It is my hope that donations far reach the million dollar mark before the thirty days are over so that she can retire and live peacefully and never again be subjected to this punishment.
* Have a blessed weekend my friends, see ya Around The Corner!

**EDIT** The Miami Heat......blah blah blah. If I never hear the name Lebron James ever again, that will be fine by me.
**EDIT EDIT** Her fund is now at $542,722.
