From The Corner Of My Mind

* It has been hot the last few days with more to come. Rain is in the forecast the next few days.
* I couldn't have had a more exciting last few days. Although I don't recommend doing graduation and dinner one night, and a major party and dinner the next night. That was a busy two days.
* We had relatives in from all over the country. Nebraska, Iowa, Austin, Nacogdoches and Houston.
* When I received that video below from Ava G yesterday evening, it brought tears to my eyes. Greatness.
* W-baby mom and her family gave me a Tony Stewart spatula/bottle opener for my birthday. Love it!
* I received some great gifts, but the greatest one was standing up at the party and seeing the room full of people.
* We have sure lost a lot of young people around Wise County the last few months.
* I was researching a future post last night online. I went to the obituary site in the Wise County Messenger. In the last 6 months there were 19 people listed that I had either known really well, or had at least minimal contact with in the last 30 years. That just seemed way high to me.
* There were 4 that were kin to me in one way or another.
* I used "kin" in that last post. The proper word I should have used is "related". It sounded just fine to me.
* This past week has been an emotional roller coaster for my W-spouse and I. Her and I had dinner together last night. ALONE. It was good for her and I to just chat. Each time she or I would tread off into deep water, the other would change the topic. By the time dinner was over, we loved each other again. :-)
* My email alert just sounded. I read the email and it was from Verizon. #1-we don't do Verizon. #2-the spam detector caught something. It stated that I had a past due bill for $1178. Again, we don't have Verizon, but I think the girls do, so I clicked on it and my Virus detection caught it. It was a virus. I should have known that was a trick.
* Have a great day, see ya Around The Corner!
