The people with whom you work reflect your own attitude. If you are suspicious, unfriendly and condescending, you will find these unlovely traits echoed all about you. But if you are on your best behavior, you will bring out the best in persons with whom you are going to spend most of your waking hours.

From The Corner Of My Mind

* That was a refreshing rain last night. We need more though. Things are really dry.
* Scripture I read this morning:  "He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint"  I needed that. I am tired today.
* It was a good three day weekend. Not great, but good. The reason for not being great is that when I put the boat in the lake on Friday evening, I got about 1/4 mile from the boat ramp and the boat died. Just started spitting and sputtering and died. W-spouse had already left with the trailer to go around to the lakehouse and there I was out in the middle of the lake broke down. AGAIN. I called Papa Harold at the lakehouse and he came and rescued me. I got a hold of W-spouse finally and she returned and we loaded it. I called the boat mechanic that I use and he said to bring it over. I want to give a shout out to Kasner Marine. He worked Friday night and a big part of Saturday and by 3pm Saturday he text and told me it was ready to go. It had sat for nearly two years and the gas had tarnished the check valve at the fuel tank. He changed the valve, drained the tank and changed a fuel line. I picked it up and used it all weekend without even a hiccup. We finally got to use the boat.
* Boats are money pits. I'm just thankful we were able to have the funds to get it repaired again.
* One of my readers and also a frequent commenter on ATC lost his mother this weekend. Please keep him and his family in your prayers. Scooter, If you need anything, don't hesitate to call my friend.
* My daughter that hasn't spoken to me was at the lake with us all weekend. Things were good and we talked some. Hopefully things are on the mend.
* We had both of the grandkids Friday night and most of the day Saturday. A pair of two years olds at the lake is a handful. They played in the water, in the sandbox and on a new air up pool/slide that Aunt Shayne had gotten for the kids to play in the yard with. W-spouse was in Heaven with both of them there.
* We got to go wake boarding and tubing Saturday evening, and went back Monday morning. Sunday we went to baccalaureate and didn't get back out there till late, so we just bobbed in the lake down at the docks.
* I watched the Nationwide race on Saturday night that I had recorded. It was an exciting race. I watched the Sprint Cup race Sunday when we got back to the lakehouse. Boring. Boring. Boring.
* When we got home yesterday, while catching up on all the laundry, we watched all our shows that were recorded and then watched the Hatfields and McCoys on the History channel. So far so good, we will see how part 2 and 3 goes. Did anyone else catch that they returned from a commercial break and only ran 1 minute before the next commercial break? Strange.
* I will be working today and tomorrow, then I'm off for graduation and my party the rest of the week and weekend.
* Have a great day, see ya Around The Corner!

31 lead changes. only 5 cautions. avg speed 165 mph at one of the greatest tracks on the circuit. let me guess u were disappointed that the race had such few cautions. u like that pack racing where some of the best cars get taken out by the rookies right? or is it because ts didnt even finish in the top 20. hes a has been who fired his championship winning crew chief and deserves all he got sun nite. yet again your ignorance is showing...stay out on the boat with the rest of the girls. the true fans enjoy a race full of strategy and green flag stops.

What happened to the boat ramp down the pvt. road from Hard Heavy''s lake house? You helped pour some of that as I recall.

Rather, it's just easier to go to the park. The folks that own it now kind of feel like it's a private launch, which it is, but....they don't know and will never know who, what, why and how much it costs to make it like it is today. So...it's just easier to go over to the park and not even have to go down there and ask.

Glad y'all had such a good time at the lake with the family...especially those baby girls. That's a shame about the ramp that you helped make not being available anymore. Mo
