* Clear and cool this morning with temps returning to the upper 80s by evening. A beautiful day in store.
* I didn't have to be at work till late today because we are waiting on another company to get here. I slept exactly 20 minutes longer than usual and just laid there awake. So I just got up and headed to location.
* I would pay someone if I could just lay in bed and sleep till at least 8am. Without my back hurting. Without needing to go to the bathroom. Without dogs snuggling up to me and trying to push me out of the bed.
* Most days, I wake up around 5am. Weekends also.
* I didn't bring this up after last weekend, because I am tired of hearing about the fool, but Kurt Busch (not Kyle) got hit hard with a fine yesterday by NASCAR. At Saturday nights race (which I had recorded because I was at the OHV park) he blew a tire and crashed. That caused some cars to check up behind him and at that time caused Ryan Newman to crash. Ryan DID NOT get hit by Busch, but while they were in the pits (somehow next to each other) Kurt Busch spun out and went straight through Ryans pit box nearly hitting a few of his pit crew members. None of that was caught on video, but the after race extracurricular activities were. Ryans gas man, which happens to be a huge fellow, and Kurt Bush got into a push shove match.
* Kurt was fined $50,000 for going through through Newmans pit box, and Ryans gas carrier was fined $5000 for pushing Kurt and fighting. Both were also put on probation.
* In my opinion, even though he is a past champion with more than 25 wins to his record, Kurt Busch is a disgrace to NASCAR and needs to be forever banned from racing in any NASCAR sanctioned race. Again, forever. He will hurt or kill someone before he learns to control his emotions.
* This weekend we head to Charlotte for the All Star Race. There are 6 qualifications for being in the All Star race. I will list them for you:
1. Drivers who have won races this year or the preceding year.
2. Drivers who have been champions in the last 10 years.
3. Drivers who have won the All Star Race in the past 10 years.
4. The winning driver of the Sprint Cup showdown.
5. The driver that finishes 2nd in the Sprint Cup showdown.
6. The driver voted in by the fans.
* Note: The most popular driver in NASCAR (Dale Earnhart Jr.) does not meet the first 5 of this criteria. He will more than likely get voted in, but this year Martin Truex Jr. is very popular which might not make that a sure shot in for Dale like last year. He is in the Showdown and must either win or get 2nd place to be in the All Star Race. The other drivers are not just going to let him have it. That race will be the one to watch this weekend.
* W-spouse and I got to play with Madison for a while yesterday evening. W-baby mom and I are working on a small kitchen project over her stove top, and while there W-spouse played with her while we worked. W-spouse had gotten her a sno-cone on the way to their house, but I grabbed it when we got out and told Madison that I got it for her.
* Read this. Just skip over the bad words. There are some good thoughts there in my opinion.
* Last night W-spouse and I debated the Mexico trip in July. As of right now, we are still going. She and I both checked and there are NO WARNINGS for the Yucatan Peninsula. We have both also read and thoroughly looked at reviews from the resort we are staying at.
* W-spouse was also looking at Expeditions online last night. UhOhhhh. She is tired of the Jeep already? She only has driven it two days. Sheeez.
* She can have an Expedition if she will buy me this!
* Have a blessed day, see ya Around The Corner!

The people with whom you work reflect your own attitude. If you are suspicious, unfriendly and condescending, you will find these unlovely traits echoed all about you. But if you are on your best behavior, you will bring out the best in persons with whom you are going to spend most of your waking hours.

As for the CL jeep, you NEED this! We NEED this!! Ppppplllllleeeeeaaaasssseeee? I will even go on a test drive with you in it! :)
It's amazing to me that you really put kyle on a pedestal while in the same breath talk about how nascar should ban kurt. kurt is 100 no 1000 times better than kyle on the track. So his emotions are a bit raw on the track...yes he could use. little more tact. But you cite safety as the reson to ban him. Let me remind you that kyle was clocked on a public road doing over 130mph...hows that for safe? what if he wiped out and happened to cripple or kill a close family member of yours...how would you feel then.
It seems the more you talk about nascar the more your true ignorance about the sport is exposed.
By the way which driver has a cup championship under his belt?
Listen buddy its your blog and you decide what goes on it...but for all of us true nascar fans that read it you should really consider sticking to posting pics of that beautiful family and that sweet jeep and leave the nascar talk to those that actually know what they are talking about.
Its a pretty simple concept..The Bible said Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve, but since the Purple Haze has covered it with his all seeing power it should be clear for all of us
What amazes me is that you think that I put Kyle on a pedestal. Go back and research that on this blog. Let me save you the trouble. It's not there. I despise Kyle Busch, but I'm not so ignorant that I can't see that he's quite possibly one of the best drivers in NASCAR today. His car/truck handling abilities are as good if not better than any driver that's ever steered a car.
Now I've said it again. Remember that.
Do I think that there is a possibility that he could win a championship? Yes I do. I also think that Kevin Harvick, Brad K., Joey Lagano, and a few others can do it. Does that make me an idiot? If so, then you quite possibly have a few drivers in mind that YOU think could win a championship, also making you an idiot.
As far as the championship for Kurt, didn't I mention that? If you're so smart in the ways of NASCAR, go back to when Kurt won and reflect on who he was driving for at the time. Also reflect on why he ISN'T driving for them anymore.
As far as either of them being unsafe. Kyle was speeding on a public road. An idiot move? Yes, and I stated that at the time. Keep your argument within the confines of the track. Both of them have done some really unsafe and stupid things while under any color flag. Or even before and after the race.
I also sense a small amount of passion in your tone for Kurt. If you agree with what he did last Saturday night, and approve of how he talked to his crew chief and crew (the audio is available by the way), or you approve of how he spoke to Dr. Jerry Punch last year, then my friend, your ignorance is showing also.
Ain't this fun?
Oh and one more thing. When did I ever state that I was the resident NASCAR expert. Hey, chime in your thoughts any time in an email or comment and I will post it and give you credit. There's your chance "big boy"......
Yeah, the post is a little rough. If you skip over the "bad words" it's a MUCH shorter read, but you're right, he makes some good points.
