* OMG (gosh). My sister and brother in law are in for the holidays and Sunday while she was at the house watching the race, she told me that she wanted to fix me supper one night before she went back home. Well last night we drove out to the lakehouse where a supper was prepared like no other. Salad, garlic cheese toast and Lasagna. Ohhhhhh did I ever eat a lot. I started with two helpings of the lasagna, then dove back in for a third, then dove back in for a fourth. It was soooooooo good. I heard the cobbler was amazing also, but I couldn't tell you for sure, I didn't have room for any of it. Thanks Sis, I love you and appreciate you doing that for us!
* I received one negative comment on the post yesterday. I simply deleted it.
* Tomorrow morning we head to Austin to have Thanksgiving with W-spouses family. As I have stated before, my sister in law goes all out on Thanksgiving. We will even have name tags at our places at the table. After last night, I don't need to eat anything till then.
* Ryan Bingham is going to play Winstar on Friday night. Still up in the air about that.
* I have been involved in an ongoing group text message with some friends for about a month now. Last night around 11pm a few of them started texting each other out of pure boredom. Something about bars,movies, crying babies and hotel rooms.This morning at 6am I started texting them back just for grins. I didn't receive any responses.
* Before you tell me to silence my phone, let me explain that it is my personal phone, but I also take business calls on it. In oilfield service work business you are subject to a call 24-7. I would hate to miss a job because my phone was set to silent.
* Small world situation. I received an email from a friend with a picture attached. I forwarded the email to some other co-workers and friends of mine. Yesterday I received a text from the original email sender saying that while at Salt Grass Steak house he ran into someone and showed him the original picture. He had asked them where they got it and they told him that I sent it. They know each other, and neither of them knew that I was a friend also.
* I still don't know whether or not I have to work this weekend. 4 days off would be nice. 3 days pay would be better.
* I am thankful for my God, for my family(especially those two adorable grand kids), my church family, my incredible job, my wonderful friends and internet friends, and for the freedom to go and do as I please. I hope that you may reflect on the things you are thankful for and leave them in the comments section.

You can set up individual "text tones" for people. I have a text tone just for hubby, and a different one for a friend that sends a lot of texts. So you do not have to silence the phone, but could set the tone for these friends to silent or unique
In addition to all of the usual blessings, salvation, family, health, this country and good friends, I am grateful He has let me live this long. The first part of my life I wasn't very useful to Him but the last part has been spiritually fulfilling and He has given me a unique ministry to the helpless. (widows and orphans)
rather, I've always been useful to God. Unfortunately, it usually has been as a bad example. (i.e. Don't do that or you'll end up like Bill.)
"Ongoing group text message" = lol! This morning, Doug came in befuddled..."who on earth is blowing up your phone???"
