The people with whom you work reflect your own attitude. If you are suspicious, unfriendly and condescending, you will find these unlovely traits echoed all about you. But if you are on your best behavior, you will bring out the best in persons with whom you are going to spend most of your waking hours.

From The Corner Of My Mind

* It's a beautiful morning. Light breeze blowing and a chill in the air to remind you that Fall is here.
* Where have I been? Like you really give a crap, huh?
* Friday was a busy day at work trying to get things done in preparation for being off a week.
* Saturday morning we left for Houston to go to a weeding for my cousin. It was great to see her happy again in life.
* Sunday morning W-spouse and I made our way to way South Houston at 6am to pick up the smoker for the races. It was at our Corporate Salesman shop building. We found it in the dark and made our way back to the hotel by 8am. Then headed home, making the long trek back pulling the smoker.
* Black beauty averaged 15.3 MPG gallon for the round trip.  That was good considering at times I was traveling in excess of 80mph.
* I spent the better part of yesterday cleaning up the smoker and loading the trailers for the races. Tomorrow morning we head out to set up camp for the rest of the week.
* I need to back up and mention that I made it home on Sunday to catch the last half of the race at Martinsville where our driver Tony Stewart took the top spot and brought home the trophy. He overtook old "Five Time" Jimmy Johnson on the last few laps for the win. He now sits in 2nd place in the Chase, 8 points behind the leader Carl Edwards.Kevin Harvick is in third place. This is shaping up for some exciting racing in the remaining three races.
* I have said from the beginning that Kevin Harvick was going to be the champion this year because I felt that he had everything in place to make a run at the title and unseat the 5 time champion. Tony Stewart has now won three races in the Chase and is getting better every week. Texas will tell the tale of whether or not he has a legitimate shot at another title.
* W-spouse once again didn't write down to be off on the same days that I did. She has to work a half a day tomorrow and then she will join us for the festivities. I'm pretty sure she did that on purpose so that she didn't have to help set up everything. BUT.......those of us that are going out early in the morning have decided to just pull in to our spots, unload a few chairs, start popping cold ones and just wait on her to arrive.
* For those of you that have an IPad and small children, Crayola ColorStudio Hd is a must have. You can pick up the stylus at Walmart or Best Buy for less than $30. Not only is this a fun thing for the kids, adults will love it too.
* Tattoo removal transformation.
* When I was in this area in 2009, it snowed 12" on October 11th.
* 4" is giant? I suppose so if your a single celled organism.
* I feel sorry for these children. They are going to be so confused growing up. Not to mention the ridicule they will endure.
* And this is good  news?
* That IS scary. I wonder how many people walked by her and thought that was a prop.

* Have a great day, see ya Around The Corner!

And she's still a girl. Modified, yes, but a girl. Men don't have children. Biologically impossible.

Glad you're back. =)

So, a weeding eh? is that like getting rid of the bad cousins , keeping the good? ;-)

You should make your own smoker so you do not have to drive to Houston to pick one up. I bet you could come up with the stuff to do it. ;-)

remember to cheer for Jeff Gordon this weekend... You know you love him, and seeing his name in your comment section

Hey, Mom and I have missed you. Wondered why we did not get a blog yesterday. Considering we are a long way from home and, of course, Mom needs to know ALL that's happening in Wise County. Love you.
