From The Corner Of My Mind

* 44 degrees on the drive over this morning.
* I'm sleepy. Why? Because I stayed up watching the Rangers blow a lead twice and lose game 6 of the World Series in extra innings.
* Why did Washington pull Holland?
* I hope the ambulance wasn't called to Mr. Answers house last night. He is way to old for that much excitement.
* For those of you who don't follow along on Twitter, here are a few tweets from last night during and after the game.
Thoroughly enjoying this World Series and as of now the score is not too shabby either......
The only fitting way to end this game is to have Charlie Hough finish it for the Rangers
My phone just rang. Caller ID says "Tony LaRussa"? Should I take it?
Derek Holland just scored with a JACKET ON, BITCHES.
Pull Holland and put in Hough
2 more outs.
And here comes the most important out in history
ONE MORE STRIKE
OH. MY. GOD
Going to the tenth
Wonder if Eddie Gossage had email inviting Rangers to the race next week ready to send and instead just closed the file
How about a rain check on that most important out in history
Someone at my house needs a time-out!
Is it too late to start drinking?
Josh is due for one homer in the postseason right?
This is f&*#*ng nerve wrecking!! I'm covered in hives, I can't handle it.
I do not approve of grown men screaming at 11 pm. Good. Grief.
The other Josh Hamilton ...
I'm pretty sure Ian Kinsler was about to make out with Hamilton.
Just about bit off all my nails.
This game has taken at least three years off my life
And NOW comes the most important out in history
Come on, Nolan. suit up and get out there
If the Texas Rangers lose, Rick Perry will have them executed.
No pitching left = game over.
The majority of DFW will call in sick tomorrow because of over celebration or massive sports depression
The Cards remind me of a line from Austin Powers, "WHY WON'T YOU DIE!!!"
I might be jinxing the . I should probably go to bed.
GO TO BED!
PLEASE
Wow . . . a game 7. for now, good night
Oh. Brother.
The look on Nolan Ryan's face at the end of the 10th said, 'Hell with this. I'm starting Game 7 myself.
So, Jeff Spicoli hit the game-winner?
* I admit, that was exciting. But, here's the deal. One game of baseball is entirely to long. Some of the pitchers take way too much time out on the mound. Tony LaRussa is a weirdo. MLB either needs to shorten their games by at least two innings, or have all games start at 2 pm.
* I will watch it one more time though. I have to now, after last nights debacle I want to see some History now.
* If I fall asleep today, blame the Rangers.
* I wonder how many people called in sick today in the Metromess?
* W-spouse and I will be in Houston tomorrow for a wedding. Congrats Denise and Scott. We love you guys and hope for all the happiness in the future. You both deserve it.
* Next week......NASCAR comes to Texas!
* Have a great weekend, see ya Around The Corner!

NASCAR comes to Texas!!! Yeah, my husband was given 2 tickets and we decided he should take his son, who has been really wanting to go and has never been, so..... *sniff, sniff*. Anyway, I know the son will LOVE it, and the hubby is a huge NASCAR fan too. Wendell, ya'll have a great time!

I had a ball "watching the game" via Twitter! Awesomeness! And it was my husband who needed a timeout. Good. Grief. My Big Boy -- who is just one of those "nice people" on this planet -- took up for the Ranger pitcher telling his Angry Bird Father, "Well, it's not really his 'fault' if the whole team loses; I mean, he's just one guy." "YES IT IS!!!" his 2 year old father yelled! The Boy just widened his eyes like he'd seen a clip from Toddlers & Tiaras and shrugged his shoulders with a bemused smile.

Men. I hear you all having fits across Texas last night. lol Some of you Girls too!!

We had a house full. My little ones were in bed at 9. I dont know how they could sleep though(but they did). All the yelling and screaming and then the game is over and the only thing that was said was "Oh my f**** God." and "Lets go." There were no byes or see you tomorrows, no hugs or thanks. It was so sad...
