Never be bullied into silence. Never allow yourself to be made a victim. Accept no one's definition of your life, but define yourself. Harvey S. Firestone

The people with whom you work reflect your own attitude. If you are suspicious, unfriendly and condescending, you will find these unlovely traits echoed all about you. But if you are on your best behavior, you will bring out the best in persons with whom you are going to spend most of your waking hours.

From The Corner Of My Mind

* Temps in the lower 80s today and then some rain and a cool front comes through tomorrow.
* I've got a cousin that practically grew up at my house during his high school years and most of his college years. He is like a brother to me. I have spoken of him in a few previous posts. He and I have grown apart in the last few years but he in making a huge effort to repair the relationship. His father is really sick. He has been sick for the last few months. This morning I received a phone call from him at 6am reporting that things have taken a turn for the worse. Please keep him and his family in your prayers today.
* We watched SOA Sons Of Anarchy last night on FX. From all indications, it may be the last time we get to watch it. DirecTV is dropping FX, Speed and some other channels from their line up on Nov. 1 unless they get a contract signed and an agreement is reached between the companies. I'm gonna be pissed if I lose my Speed channel, and W-spouse is not going to be happy if we lose FX. I also watch NatGeo from time to time and it's going to be cut also.
* The last time this happened with DirecTV we lost a few channels for a few days. I hope this time is the same. If not, I will have to pull the plug on DirecTV and find another provider.
* You can catch up most of the TV shows and series the next day on Hulu or other sites, but you can't catch the race up. That would be like watching tonight's World Series game......tomorrow.
* It was so windy yesterday that we had trouble making connections out here on location. The wind would blow the swivel over to one side, and the tubing wouldn't line up to make up straight. Today is not going to be much different. Tomorrow it's just going to be from the opposite direction.
* Pumpkins that Casey(#2 stepson) and his girlfriend Chelsi painted for tonight's game.

*W-spouse posted them on the FOX4 Facebook website last night.
* I would like to know how many times that the players spit during the broadcast of a baseball game.
* And you people think NASCAR is Redneck? At least during the National Anthem you don't see any drivers hock a loogie and spit on TV.
* If you want to see something funny, Google images "hock a loogie".
* No trial, just shoot them both. Not the kids, the women.
* Get out the water cannons and fire hoses. Easy fix.
* Again, no trial.  Be done with her.
* This guy just don't get it.  I was driving when I was 9, but I wasn't hauling my drunk dad around to but more beer.
* I'm not being very forgiving today, am I?
* Sorry.
* Hope you have a wonderful Wednesday, see ya Around The Corner!

Don't be suckered into the FOX propaganda. They are jacking the rates to DirecTv which would in turn raise your bill. News Corp is trying to bundle all their networks into one package. I don't think Fox Sports Southwest, The Big 10 Network or FOX Soccer Channel is worth the same price as FX, SPEED or FOX News.

Hold your ground DirecTv!

I left DirecTV several years ago and really enjoy the Dish Network. Best of luck.

Dish Network is the only way to go these days. We have really learned that since we have moved to no where land that does not have cable or internet. We are avid Nat Geo fans and watch it a lot.

Read your blog EVERY day, even if I do not comment more frequently. Thanks for sharing and keeping me up on the happenings is Wise County. Love you bunches!!
