Cole is out of surgery at 11:30am. There was ligament damage that we weren't aware of due to the swelling. The surgeon repaired the ligament and put in the plate and screws. He will be in a splint for 2 weeks. Then the stitches will be removed and a cast put on for 4 weeks. He will then have to wear a boot for 4-6 weeks depending on his recovery status. No cutting or turning hard with weight planted on leg for 3-4 months. Long road ahead, thanks for the prayers.

Ohhh my. That poor kid!!! I hope he heals quickly and doesn't have any long term issues because of this injury. Damn, I hate that for him. Glad the doc was able to fix him up. Make the little devil take care of it and do as the doc says, you know how invincible we all think we are at that age......
Relieved to learn that all went well with surgery. Know Cole will be stressed & unhappy about the length of time he will have to deal with this. Please let him know that Rex & I are thinking of him. I'll call Rex to let him know. Mo
Thanks for the update. I know he has a long road ahead. Please encourage him to do everything as directed and don't rush it.
