Prayer Request For The Decatur Eagle Players

Prayer request

by Jeff Jones on Thursday, September 8, 2011 at 8:50am
Asking all my friends to say a prayer for Tyler Story and family. Tyler is a junior at Decatur HS and hurt his knee in a football game last Friday. He had to have emergency surgery yesterday due to a blood clot in his leg. Here's an update from his mom...
Update on Tyler.....he was in surgery for 5 hours. It was worse than they thought. The artery and the nerves are severely damaged. He will be in ICU/hospital for at least 2 weeks. We just have to wait.....and PRAY. Thank you all for your prayers. Please continue to pray that the artery will remain open and the blood will flow into the foot. They cannot do surgery to repair the ligament damage in the knee until the arteries are functioning properly.
Borrowed from Facebook off Jeff Jones page.

As you all know by now, our son Cole Selby will be having surgery tomorrow morning Friday the 9th to repair a broken Fibula in his right leg.  I will keep you posted throughout the day.

There are others also. I'm sorry but I don't remember their names at the moment. Decatur lost 4 starting players last Friday due to injury.

Please keep all these kids in your prayers over the next few days and weeks.

Prayers for all the injured players.

Answers? I don't know the questions. said...

I will pray for Cole and the other football players for a complete recovery.

As you know, no one is a bigger sports idiot than I am. After seeing the pain and suffering that my son Caleb and my daughter Sarah have gone through over their sports injuries, I'm not sure that it was worth it for them to play basketball. That is my view as a parent. I don't know that they would share that view.
