Never be bullied into silence. Never allow yourself to be made a victim. Accept no one's definition of your life, but define yourself. Harvey S. Firestone

The people with whom you work reflect your own attitude. If you are suspicious, unfriendly and condescending, you will find these unlovely traits echoed all about you. But if you are on your best behavior, you will bring out the best in persons with whom you are going to spend most of your waking hours.

Some people get spiritual because they see the light and some people get spiritual because they feel the heat!

How do you know if you're truly a servant? See how you react the next time someone treats you like one.

From The Corner Of My Mind

* I'm resting at home this morning. We can't get a wireline truck till later in the morning, so we wait.
* The ankle is better today. I had the "Iceman" on it again all night. I will be back to wearing an ankle brace/support for a while.
* All the existing furniture has been removed from the media room in preparation for the arrival of the entertainment center and theatre seating. That wasn't easy on a bum ankle.
* The prayer below was sent to me by someone that you would have never thought would send you something of that nature. You never know who God is working on at any given moment.
* Speaking of God. Our bible class on Sunday morning is studying the book of Revelation. I grew up with Southern Baptist roots and Revelation was taught to me in the "HELL FIRE AND BRIMSTONE" manner. Actually, the book was avoided in most circumstances because of the nature of the material and the interpretation of such. Our pastor Monty Tuttle is teaching this class much differently than I ever experienced and basically you are to look at the book as a play appearing in front of you. The scenarios described in the book are all illustrations and symbols meaning different things, even the numbers are symbols used to illustrate different amounts, not really in the literal sense. I am finding this interpretation so easy to understand and I am excited to learn more each week.
* Isn't it sad that it's taken me 50 years to see this?
* Isn't it ironic that some/most people go through life believing everything they are taught, just because they choose to never seek a different interpretation or theory?
* I would have, had I not chose to seek something else.
* I would have went to my grave believing that a beast would appear from the sea with ten horns and seven heads and ten crowns on its horns (Rev 13).
* I have a hate commentor back. I just want you to know that I love you and I will continue to pray that God will soften your heart and mind so that you will someday realize that your words and actions are disturbing and hurtful to others. Me....I have strong shoulders, what you say to me doesn't matter. It may not get posted, but I read each one and with the resources available to me, I promise you that I WILL discover who you are, and when I do, I will then be able to pray for you using your name.
* Not a good thing to call your boss a clown on Twitter.
* W-spouse still wants to vacation next year in Mexico.
* I know you need to laugh today.
* Keep laughing.
* Three days till the wedding. W-daughter #2 is going to need a sedative before then. I'm going to need three of them.
* Top ten exceptional kids. Wow #7.
* This weeks NASCAR race is at Dover. Be prepared for some wild action.
* Hope your week has been great, see ya Around The Corner!

I read an interesting book about the book of Revelation as the basis of the Catholic Mass written by Dr. Scott Hahn ~ a converted Protestant.

It was pretty interesting because I always had the same apocalyptic view of Revelation until I researched it a little more.

Love the animals!
Let me know what your guy says about the thousand years; literal or symbolic.
A lot of people teach this book as allegorical until they get to the thousand years somewhere around chapter 21.

RBS, symbolic. And thats what I find so intriquing. The translations of such in the symbolic sense.
