Never be bullied into silence. Never allow yourself to be made a victim. Accept no one's definition of your life, but define yourself. Harvey S. Firestone

The people with whom you work reflect your own attitude. If you are suspicious, unfriendly and condescending, you will find these unlovely traits echoed all about you. But if you are on your best behavior, you will bring out the best in persons with whom you are going to spend most of your waking hours.

Some people get spiritual because they see the light and some people get spiritual because they feel the heat!

From The Corner Of My Mind

* Another hot week coming up.
* Worked again on Saturday, but got off early and W-spouse and I headed over to Graham Lake to visit some friends and hang out on their dock. Grilled some burgers and had shrimp cocktails while watching the sun go down over the lake.
* Lake Bridgeport is dropping nearly a foot a week. By September it will be dangerous for those not familiar with the underwater islands that appear, and the points that stretch way out farther that they are aware of.
* I'm afraid we might see it in the same condition it was in 1981.
* W-spouse delivered our boat to the second repair shop on Saturday. Hopefully we will hear something by weeks end.
* We went to church Sunday morning and had a great sermon once again. We said a special prayer at the end of the service for the missionaries that will be leaving for Indonesia today.
* One of our cousins proposed to his girlfriend over the weekend. She will be a blessed addition to our family. It's about time Cason.
* We had both of the grandkids over for a while on Friday evening. One is up walking around and the other is scooting everywhere. W-spouse and I were gave out when they finally left. When they both start walking, we might have to get some collars and leashes.
* Our insurance plan has changed again at work. That is always a pain in the butt having to get the new cards to the doctors and pharmacist, and fill out all the paperwork again. It's a little more expensive, but seems to be a better plan. It also has vision insurance, something I need to look in to.
* That wreck over the weekend was bad. I am sure glad I wasn't a first responder on that one.
* Austin Dillon won the NCWTS race on friday night and Carl Edwards won the Nationwide race Saturday night. The Sprint Cup boys had the weekend off.
* Gotta get to work, see ya Around The Corner!

Shrimp Cocktails? What did you meet JH over there? That sounds like the kind of "funny" food that he would eat, not you.

Congrats to Austin Dillon. Grandson of Richard Childress. May be his first win but damn sure won't be his last.
