* I watched the news this morning and it looked like someone typed in 100 on the the screen and hit the repeat button 21 times. No relief of this heat in sight for a while.
* I worked all day Saturday. As in, I finally got home around 10:15 pm. It was a long day. Didn't get much accomplished with the well, but we didn't go backwards. A small amount of headway is always a good thing.
* Sunday morning W-spouse and I couldn't sleep in as hard as we tried, so we went to breakfast at the Peppermill Diner and then we made church.
* Honestly, I didn't feel like going to church. I just wanted to set in the AC and do nothing, but once again, I was richly rewarded. I love our church home and have never felt out of place there. Monty preached a sermon that anyone would have been blessed to receive.
* He is such a Spirit filled individual, and a blessing to be around every time.
* Our SEND ministries is in high gear now. Next Sunday we will be sending a team for a three week stay in Indonesia. A young couple from our church, and one of our youth team members that just graduated high school are among the team members going. They raised all the money for the trip themselves through bake sales, car washes and donations from the community and church.
* On the 31st of July, the next team will be leaving for Nigeria for a five month stay. Our Pastors son is leaving with that team, and they also raised all the monies for the trip.
* Sunday after church W-spouse and I ate lunch and made it home to watch the NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Loudon New Hampshire where Ryan Newman sat on the pole with his boss and co-team owner of Stewart-Haus Racing Tony Stewart starting in second place right beside him. As it turned out, that is exactly how they finished also. Ryan Newman won the race followed by Tony Stewart a close second. SH racing needed this boost and for RN, he needed the win to be a contender for the Chase. TS is still in the Chase right now but he needs to pick it up to get back in to the top ten. He is currently holding a wild card spot.
* Kyle Busch had a terrible day after rubbing fenders with Junior, he blew a tire and hit the wall hard virtually taking him out of contention for a win on Sunday. He did win the Nationwide race on Saturday though, giving him 100 wins in the top three divisions of racing. No small feat my friends. I will give him credit where credit is due. Again I say, you better get used to seeing this kids name in the headlines for winning.
* Time to enjoy the heat a while, see ya Around The Corner!

The people with whom you work reflect your own attitude. If you are suspicious, unfriendly and condescending, you will find these unlovely traits echoed all about you. But if you are on your best behavior, you will bring out the best in persons with whom you are going to spend most of your waking hours.
Some people get spiritual because they see the light and some people get spiritual because they feel the heat!
How do you know if you're truly a servant? See how you react the next time someone treats you like one.

I was sorry to learn that you had such a long day of work in the heat, as well as boat repair needed & pain in your leg. Certainly hope that this week will be much, much better for you. Mo
I hope the kids have a good vacation. Doubt they will be doing any real work in Indonesia. They are going for such a short time, it is a big tourist spot, and the kids at the orphanages will just keep getting their hopes up that someone is there to take them home. Sounds like a lousy thing to do with all that money. Couldn't your church have thought of something better, although less showy to do with it? I guess Monty has to do things like this (whatever the people want or will make him look good) so he can keep getting paid. Why does a minister get paid? Kind of like getting paid to sell air. Shouldn't the word of the Lord be free?
Wow Anon 12:35, you have a sour attitude. I'm not sure what's showy about sowing seed in the mission field, but you are entitled to your opinion. As for the word being free ... It is as long as you don't consider the ultimate price paid by Gods only son. It's just a story you can download an app for in several versions for free from the Internet. Check it out, especially a little chapter we like to refer to as "the great commission", Matthew 28:18-20.
Have a great day!
While you are entitled to your opinion, you are not entitled to trash our kids or our pastor. I also recognize the the voice of Satan when I hear it. If you have the courage of your convictions, identify yourself. I know I'm wasting my breath because you are a running coward just like your father. You're also playing a dangerous game with God as your Judge. I wouldn't be in your shoes for any amount of money. Sow the wind and reap the whirlwind.
What is the measure of a great team? Winning races or championships? What is the measure of a dynasty? Winning multiple championships. KB can win as long as the stakes aren't too high. But when the championship is on the line he chokes. Sorry to burst your bubble but he won't ever be known as a HOF driver as he cannot even win one championship...much less multiple ones. Ask any driver which they would like more...single race wins or championships. You know what their answer will be.
It's Stewart-Haas Racing dumbass...Not Stewart-Haus. What are they German now?
