The people with whom you work reflect your own attitude. If you are suspicious, unfriendly and condescending, you will find these unlovely traits echoed all about you. But if you are on your best behavior, you will bring out the best in persons with whom you are going to spend most of your waking hours.

From The Corner Of My Mind

* Yep, it's hot again.
* I have a morning routine in which after the alarm goes off, I start searching for the remote control that usually commands the spot in bed between W-spouse and I. After finding it I tune it to channel 5. I do so because they show the weather every 5 minutes and that's really all I care hearing about at 5am. This morning as the TV came on, it was showing a motorcycle accident that happened around Carrolton last night. As they panned the camera to the scene it showed a motorcycle that I was very familiar with. A friend of ours, a retired Marine, has his Street Glide custom painted with lightning bolts and it is really unique. I immediately woke W-spouse and replayed the news. She saw it and thought the same thing, that it was his bike all crashed. The news was reporting one dead and 3-4 taken to local hospitals. W-spouse then started calling all the hospitals while I sent texts to everyone that he and us had in common. All this was taking place as I was getting ready for work and we were both getting very concerned. After not finding out any information at the hospitals, I left for work with W-spouse on Facebook searching for more info. I was hesitant to call or text his phone, but on the way to work, at 6 am I called his phone with no answer. About 20 minutes later I get a call back from his phone. It was him, safe and sound. He and his fiancé were doing the "Funky Co Madina" and wasn't able to answer when I called. I was so relieved that it wasn't him. He and his girlfriend then called W-spouse and told her the good news. Seems, when he got his bike painted that another person came in and saw his bike and wanted his painted very similar. The bikes are nearly identical other than a set of ape hanger handlebars.
* That is in NO WAY how I had my Friday morning pictured to begin. This same friend also plays in a Christian rock band named Atomic Apostle. You can google them and go to their website and see him. He plays percussion and back up guitar. His name is Dean.
* I'm hoping for a 3 day weekend that turns into a 4 day weekend. I should know more later on that. I would love to spend a little extra time at our family reunion this weekend.
* W-spouse and I took the camper out to the lake house last night and set it up. Purchased most of the groceries at Brookshires on the way and got them unloaded.
* We are keeping Ava Grace tonight and are taking her with us to the lake. It's going to be an interesting night with her and us in the camper!
* My favorite time during the reunion is breakfasts with all the families. Some people aren't morning people, and those are the ones that I love to set by and aggravate. Some are like me, and hit the floor running wide open. W-spouse can be either way depending on her sleep schedule the night before.
* W-spouse is usually in a great mood when one of the grandkids is there when she wakes up. She's not always like that with me. I've never understood that? It's my guess that she doesn't like the ice cubes in bed.
* Cousin from the south, that wears a badge and carries a gun arrived at the house last night. He and another cousin came up for the weekend festivities at the lake. He starts back to work next week after being off for 5 months recovering from a broken back and the surgery that followed it.
* I will try to post from the lake, but for the most part it is "cell phone hell", so I might not get to it till early next week.
* I hope you have a great 4th of July and celebrate it smart. Please refrain from any fireworks this year, and please don't drink and drive.
* Have a great Friday, see ya Around The Corner!

Ok I have a problem with your story about the friend with the motorcycle. (Glad he's ok) But you say he was "busy" with his girlfriend, then say he's in a Christian band???????????

Are you confused as whether or not Christians have sex? Or whether a 45 year old retired Marine, that has lived with his fiancé for the last 2 years and have plans to get married soon have sex? Or whether someone in a Christian rock band has sex? Sheez, couldn't you just be happy and thank the Lord that my friend didn't have an accident?
Jar, you're a Marine. Do you have sex?
