Never be bullied into silence. Never allow yourself to be made a victim. Accept no one's definition of your life, but define yourself. Harvey S. Firestone

The people with whom you work reflect your own attitude. If you are suspicious, unfriendly and condescending, you will find these unlovely traits echoed all about you. But if you are on your best behavior, you will bring out the best in persons with whom you are going to spend most of your waking hours.

Some people get spiritual because they see the light and some people get spiritual because they feel the heat!

How do you know if you're truly a servant? See how you react the next time someone treats you like one.

Trying To Forgive

To the person/persons that thought that they needed my umbrella, umbrella pole and my tent shade more than I did.
I FORGIVE YOU
I used that umbrella and umbrella pole when the sun is shining bright and hot during the summer. I also used it when those rainy days seemed to never end. I purchased it from Tractor Supply about four years ago for around $95.00. I used to carry it in my toolbox and the pole in the back of my pickup, but when I bought my new truck I thought it would be safe to leave it on my swivel trailer. I started carrying the tent about two months ago and had never even set it up. My mother gave it to me because she loves me and worries about me working in the heat. She paid about $100.00 for it at Walmart or Cabellas. My plan was on these longer jobs which required us to stay on one location for a few weeks, we would set it up and the rig hands and I could get under it in the shade while we were drilling and not having to be up on the rig floor. I can, and will buy another one, but before I get the chance to do that, I hope one of us doesn't suffer from heat exhaustion.
People that steal or borrow something without asking from one of us is not hurting the Oil Company that you are mad at for drilling on your property that you don't have the mineral rights too. It hurts us, not them. We are just out here making a living working FOR them. We are not the ones that didn't pay you enough damages or pipeline ride-a-way damages. Most of our tools and or equipment is supplied by us, paid for by us. I paid for those things to either do my job, or assist me in my job. I'm just the person that you see out here each day trying to make a living just like your husband or your wife does. Do you go out and rob something off the garbage truck when it comes by to pick up your trash? His truck stinks and makes a lot of noise and sometimes scatters trash down the road. Do you go out and steal tools or pool supplies off the guy that comes by and services your pool or hot tub? No, I don't think you do. So why steal my things? I will make a deal with you. Next time you see something of interest that I own or operate and you feel that you need it worse than I do, come see me or give me a call and I promise that I will either purchase it for you, or help you get one.
One more thing, I can't speak for everyone that I work with or around, but I can assure you that the people that work in my group strive not to damage your property. We are consciously aware of spills or leaks. Striving for zero tolerance in that area. When we leave a location we are especially aware of leaving it looking better than it was when we arrived. We pick up any and all our trash, and any others trash that may have left it behind. We try to maintain as small of an area as possible, trying hard not to trample or drive on any of your grass or pastures. Personally, I treat your place as it were my own. Again, I can't assure you that everyone will do that, but our people try.
In closing I want to say to you that I hope you get many hours of enjoyment sitting/setting under the shade of my umbrella and tent. It is my hope that you have it set up next to a stock pond or lake, and have a pole and line in the water and are fishing with a cold beverage next to you.
You are forgiven, not only by Wendell Wiggins, but by our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ

You are a bigger person than I am. I am a Christian as well, but as hard working single mom of 3, it pisses me off when someone steals from me. Someone stole something out of my front yard about 3 weeks ago. DD home from college saw it but was unsure and scared to confront and say anything.

BTW - enjoy reading your blog. Visit here daily. I hope you get a new tent and umbrella soon.
