From The Corner Of My Mind

* Hot and humid this morning. Really?
* Build a nice divided highway, and put a red light on it every 5 miles. That is going to solve all the problems. Hey, put a red light at every intersection between Denton and Bridgeport. It's still not going to stop people from being being killed. How many vehicles, and or truck drivers will try to beat that new red light that is going to be installed at the intersection of buisness 380 and 380? Then if you are driving a truck and have to stop at that light, how hard do you think it will be to try and make a run up Decatur hill east bound? That is about as smart as the light they installed at Tater Juntion on 114 east bound. GET OFF THE PHONE, QUIT TEXTING WHILE DRIVING, TURN THE MUSIC DOWN, SLOW THE HECK DOWN, PAY ATTENTION AND DRIVE DEFENSIVELY.

* W-spouse and I ate at Ojedas in Paradise last night. The best kept secret and also the second best place to dine in Wise County after GoGo Gumbo of course.
* We were both asleep before sundown, after being up so late the night before.
* I reached a milestone on the blog yesterday. I went over 50,000 hits.
* I was researching my stat counter yesterday and saw where I had a few hits from Canadian readers the last few weeks.
* Two weeks ago I was contacted by our shop manager and told me that an attorney had called looking for me. I was paranoid about it for a few minutes and returned his call. I was worried thinking "what the heck now"? I asked him how it was that he found me and he told me that he had Googled a name and it came up on my blog and then he followed the link to my workplace, then made the call.
* No, no one is in trouble. No, we are not in any legal trouble. No, a long lost aunt didn't die and leave me a fortune. Although, it would have been nice to have inherited a fortune of some kind, it wouldn't have been nice for an aunt to die for that to happen.
* The flag pole at Whataburger needs to be fixed. If they don't take the flag down, or straighten the pole before the 4th, I will do it myself.
* If you stop by there, please feel free to go in and complain about it. I have.
* A coyote just ran across the pasture beside me. He sure looked ragged and hungry.
* Last weeks vacation went by way to fast.
* Where did June go?
* This could change the weather for us.
