Never be bullied into silence. Never allow yourself to be made a victim. Accept no one's definition of your life, but define yourself. Harvey S. Firestone

The people with whom you work reflect your own attitude. If you are suspicious, unfriendly and condescending, you will find these unlovely traits echoed all about you. But if you are on your best behavior, you will bring out the best in persons with whom you are going to spend most of your waking hours.

Some people get spiritual because they see the light and some people get spiritual because they feel the heat!

From The Corner Of My Mind

* It's hot again. Temps hovering around 100 all week.
* The annual Watson Reunion starts this weekend. Mom and the cousins are busy, busy preparing things for another week of family fun at the lake. W-spouse and I are staying for the 3 day weekend, but won't be staying all week. I'm sure we will be checking in from time to time.
* It was after midnight before W-spouse and I got to bed last night. I'm tired today.
* I received a text message yesterday informing me that our preacher was released from the hospital in Amarillo. He's doing well and they might head home today. This is his second heart attack, the last one was two years ago.
* I'm told that I'm a prime candidate for a heart attack. Overweight, high blood pressure, diabetes, stress, lack of high level activity are just a few reasons why. Surely not...
* I could give you a few reasons that are more relevant in my opinion, but I might have to sleep outside tonight so I won't.
* My grandfather on moms side of the family had heart problems. He also had two wild grandsons that probably contributed to his health issues.
* Jar should have been a professional comedian.
* Some of our commentors try really hard to be, but fail miserably.
* That intersection by the SO on 380 is a blind spot. When a vehicle is traveling east bound and enters the right hand turn lane to turn onto business 380, if another vehicle is exiting business 380 trying to turn left, west bound onto 380, there is a brief moment when the view back to the west is blocked. If a vehicle is continuing east on 380, you can't see them unless you wait for the other vehicle to turn onto business 380. I have personally witnessed an accident there and have seen a few more nearly happen during the scenario I described.
* That last post was confusing, even to me. The post about Jar was confusing to some, so we are even.
* I ordered $400 worth of Fire Retardent clothing yesterday. A pair of pants was over $50, and the shirts were $47 each. 4 sets, $400, ridiculous prices. The pants are wrangler jeans and are in such high demand that they are on backorder. I'm thankful that I get reimbursed for the amount spent.
* I got a few comments yesterday about the Apple music situation in reference to recovering my purchased music and Apps. My Cunado(b-law) also told me that you get a one time recovery from Apple. The representative that I emailed back and forth with and also spoke on the phone with tried to charge me $100.
* I finally got all the Apps back loaded, and the music that I was able to recover loaded back into ITunes. I lost some songs, and some of them it can't find the original place that it copied them from. It's much simpler to just repurchase the few that I am having conflicts with. Of course, that's what Apple was hoping for. The "transfer purchased items feature" is a joke.
* W-mom and Papa Harolds AC went on the blink yesterday evening. I hope that it just needs recharging and not some major failure.
* They had kidnapped Madison last night, and W-spouse and I got to play with her when we went over there last night. Her mother got off work and came in and stole her back from us.
* W-spouse started a tradition a few years back of purchasing Old Navy Flag shirts for the 4th of July for our family. During the weekend, we all take pictures with our shirts on. We had to buy 2 more this year for the grandkids. We will get to take a 4 generation picture this year.
* If you are around the north end of the lake this weekend, stop by the Annual Sand Flat Fire Dept. cookout on Saturday at noon. There will be an auction and raffle tickets for a quilt. The Careflight helicopter usually makes a landing and all the kids get to look at and get into the helicopter.
* Time to get to work, see ya Around The Corner!
