The people with whom you work reflect your own attitude. If you are suspicious, unfriendly and condescending, you will find these unlovely traits echoed all about you. But if you are on your best behavior, you will bring out the best in persons with whom you are going to spend most of your waking hours.

From The Corner Of My Mind

* It's hot again and looking like it's going to be like that all week.
* I like Lady GaGa. She does some outrageous things, wears some outrageous clothes and costumes. Yet she does her own thing. I was a huge fan of Dennis Rodman, not such much his attitude and antics, nor his disrespect of authority of any kind, but his uncanny ability to rebound and play defense. He was another person that did his own thing. Sometimes we feel threatened or uncomfortable with people that look different or act differently. I do, and find myself judging people when I know I shouldn't. I try to find the good in people other than the way they act or look, but this is where I sometimes fail with my children. I want them to act or look like I want them too, or I think they should. Why do I do that with my children and step-children?
* If you missed the Mavs game last night, you missed a star athlete playing his game with a 101 temperature. The man didn't feel good at all and still played most of the game and contributed the winning shot and led the Mavs in points. The Mavs have now tied the series. One more game at home and then back to Miami.
* I had to stop back by the house this morning enroute to another location and I had the opportunity to see W-spouse all dressed up for work. She used to wear scrubs everyday and now she wears street clothes. Man she was hot looking and I told her so. I tried getting all touchy/feely but she told me to quit and get back to work. SHOT DOWN........
* This issue between Kyle Busch and Richard Childress is turned out to be one of the biggest stories in NASCAR this year. Ever other caller on Sirius NASCAR radio wants to keep dragging it on.
* One of my cousins was at a bike rally in East Texas and dropped by to see my dad while he was down there. My dad really enjoyed seeing him and getting to visit with him. Thanks for stopping by and I appreciate the effort.
* We have been watching HBOs Game Of Thrones this season. In my opinion, I think it's a great series that will equal the Sopranos.
* There was a dead deer on the highway this morning and close by laid a dead coyote. I'm guessing the coyote was hungry and grabbing a quick bite of supper when along comes a vehicle.....whack, dead coyote. The mess was scattered all across the highway. Wasn't pretty.
* I'm sure you enjoyed that last post. I can paint a better picture if need be?
* Where is the Squaw?
* W-spouse, if you look that good when you get home today, you might want to mentally prepare yourself for an evening full of festivities!
* I like Nestles brand bottled water better than Ozarka. If you read on An Ozarka water bottle, you will find that the water is a blend of water from the Roher Spring in Henderson County. During my high school years there was a Boy Scout ranch with a huge natural pool at the head waters of that spring. We used to sneak in there and skinny dip all the time. Yeah, we probably all did. I just like the taste of Nestles better.
* Have a great day my friends, see ya Around The Corner!

Lady GaGa and Dennis Rodman....If I were to dig in your closet would I find a wedding dress in your size and a boatload of makeup?

I knew there was a reason I didn't drink Ozarka!

I do the same thing with my children. I'm not sure why I do it either, maybe one day I will figure it out.

On the kid thing ... we want more and better for them than what we had/have. Just human nature. But, here it comes ... if all they hear is negative, all be it true, that's the reel that will play over and over in their heads and they will never think or believe it's possible to overcome. A little positivity and compassion go a long way. Just as it is our duty as parents to show them the errors of their ways, it is our duty to show them the possibilities of the way they should go. Consequences aren't just related to negative situations.
Marinate on that!

The team that wins game 5 will win the championship. Because as close as these two teams are they both need a one game "cushion" going back to miami. It will go 7 games regardless and I am really enjoying watching it...Dirk is a freaking rock star who deserves to be in the elite status in the basketball world.

your comments on lady gaga disturb me...she showed up to the grammys in an egg for gawds sake! Thats more than just a little diff...thats plain off the charts mentally!!! but boy does she rake in the dough!!!

ppl are talking so much about childress/kb because when's the last time an owner pounded another teams driver into the ground?!? Childress shoulda been given a medal not a fine.

Your the one that has labeled KB as the greatest driver ever in the history of nascar and thinks he should already be in the hall of fame...so Mark my words friend...KB is on his way down just like i said he would be. Oh by the way...how many cup championships has he won again? LOL :-) J/K
