Never be bullied into silence. Never allow yourself to be made a victim. Accept no one's definition of your life, but define yourself. Harvey S. Firestone

The people with whom you work reflect your own attitude. If you are suspicious, unfriendly and condescending, you will find these unlovely traits echoed all about you. But if you are on your best behavior, you will bring out the best in persons with whom you are going to spend most of your waking hours.

Some people get spiritual because they see the light and some people get spiritual because they feel the heat!

How do you know if you're truly a servant? See how you react the next time someone treats you like one.

From The Corner Of My Mind

* The temps are in the mid 70s already this morning. It's going to be a great day to be on the lake. If your on the lake.
* The funeral for our co-worker goes as follows: Visitation tonight at 6pm at Jones funeral home in Bridgeport followed by the Rosary at 7pm. Mass at St. Johns Catholic Church at 10:30am Friday morning.
* Continuing with some thoughts from yesterday. I feel the need to always be doing something, maybe not always something that is worthwhile, but always doing something. If I'm always doing something, then in the end, someone can never say that I was idle. So therefore, It might seem that I stay busy all the time coming and going so that I am not a failure in their eyes, or they can't say it was from lack of effort. Someone being my wife, mother, friends, co-workers, supervisors or my children and step-children. The death of our co-worker has laid heavy on my heart and soul the last few days and I feel the need to slow down, and channel that energy to be a more productive husband, father and grandfather.
* I probably should be more worried about the fact of whether I will be a failure in the Lords eyes when my time comes.
* Last night W-spouse and I attended our Life Group class at church. The class focused on the Ascension. Did you know that today is Ascension Thursday 2011? 40 days from the day that Christ rose from the grave. Dessert (Chocolate cake) was served and I didn't have any. Yeah me!
* When I left for work this morning, W-spouse was lying there sleeping peacefully. It was the first morning in a week that she was in bed and not up setting in the recliner. I pray that her sleeping habits will get better with her new schedule.
* I announced the wedding of W-daughter #2 yesterday. We found out about it last Friday, but the final date had not been set until yesterday. Both of my daughters have gotten engaged and not one of the men have come and asked me for my daughters hand in marriage. Does anyone still do that, or is that a trend lost in the past?
* For those of you that follow along with me about NASCAR, Joey Loganos #20 Nationwide car that he drives for Jack Rousch(correction Joe Gibbs) will not be in the race this weekend due to lack of sponsorship. The car that leads the owners points race won't even be fielded this weekend? For that car to not be sponsored is a major blow to his run for the owners points this year.
* Tony Stewart has made it known that he is trying to sign Danica Patrick. If that move plays out, he will sign the second biggest star to enter NASCAR in the last 10 years, second only to Dale Jr. Signing up Go-Daddy will not be easy. I would think that they would like to be hooked up with RCR, Hendrick, Gibbs or Rousch.
* Two more weeks until vacation on the river.
* I gotta get to work, see ya Around The Corner!

Check out the Cope twins who ran the truck race two weeks ago. Their uncle won the Indy 500 years back.
First time for twins to be in same big time race.

I went sraight from the jewelry store to my father in law's house to get his permission. It's the gentlemanly way to pay respects to the family of your future bride. You should expect nothing less from your future sons in law. That's downright rude if you ask me.

I asked my father n law for my wife's hand in marriage. Last Sunday was our 1 year anniversiary.

just a slight correction:
The number 20 Nationwide car of Lagano is owned by Joe Gibbs Racing.
