* It's a very humid morning. I am surprised there wasn't any thunderstorms around Wise County yesterday evening.
* There are still no funeral plans set for our co-worker that passed away. Tentative plans are for Friday at Jones funeral home in Bridgeport. We will know for sure today.
* Informing someone that their loved one has passed away has to rank as one of the worst responsibilities ever.
* My co-workers death has been a reality check for me. When you are young and you think, invincible, when something like this happens, you tend to just chalk it up as bad luck, and tend to forget it fairly soon. This event has been on my mind and conscience since I received the text on Friday.
* Some things weighing heavy on my mind:
1. I really need to take better care of myself.
2. W-spouse and I need to get a will prepared and not leave our children with a burden that we should have already taken care of.
3. I don't want my grandkids, kids or family living without me being there for a constant source of aggravation.
4. I love my wife so much and don't want to be without her.
5. I feel terribly guilty for just relaxing for a day. I need to just do that more and not feel guilty.
6. W-spouse and I need to manage our lives better so that we don't have to work so much, and so hard in the future.
7. Last, but not least. I know that I will be in the Lords hands if I die. You must also be prepared for that moment, and if your are not, take time today to ask the Lords forgiveness and repent your sins and turn it all over to God.
* I am loving Black Beauty thus far. The power of the 6.7 liter diesel is amazing. More power than any 1 ton vehicle that I have ever operated.
* W-spouse has been under the weather on her first two days of her new position. Not really feeling all that bad, but not straying to far away from the little girls room.
* We moved to a different location this morning. There are two closed gates within 30 yards of each other. Why? From my viewpoint they serve no purpose other than to aggravate the workers coming and going. Both have cattle guards under them, and neither has any livestock anywhere close.
* I hope you have a blessed day, see ya Around The Corner!

The people with whom you work reflect your own attitude. If you are suspicious, unfriendly and condescending, you will find these unlovely traits echoed all about you. But if you are on your best behavior, you will bring out the best in persons with whom you are going to spend most of your waking hours.

How do you know if you're truly a servant? See how you react the next time someone treats you like one.

Take care of yourself. It was good to see you this weekend.
funny how we got caught up in the act of living and forget that we need to take care of our vessels... and that we need to do a bit of planning so those left in the wake don't have to worry so much about what to do next....
i think about those things often these days... guess it's the beast that has taken over although they all tell me i'm not going to die from it... but i will die from something one day no? ha
hard to make those plans without dwelling on the idea of being gone... and letting it get you down too...
sorry you are not feeling well w-spouse... that's pretty stinko when starting a new assignment... or anytime really...but at least you don't have to worry about being called anymore...sliver of a silver lining...
dance as though no one is watching, sing as if no one is listening, and love as though you've never been hurt.... great words to live by!
Yea Cuz I've recently had to come to terms with my own mortality. Sometimes you gotta just take some time to do nothing with the one you love. The Will I took care of after Hal passed last year. I want you to take care of yourself for yours and all the kids sake.
And oh yeah I promise to take care of W spouse for ya.....Just Saying LOL
Sherri, David, thanks! Good words to live by. It is a hurdle to get over or around, under or through, but over it we must. So many things to be thankful for.
