Never be bullied into silence. Never allow yourself to be made a victim. Accept no one's definition of your life, but define yourself. Harvey S. Firestone

The people with whom you work reflect your own attitude. If you are suspicious, unfriendly and condescending, you will find these unlovely traits echoed all about you. But if you are on your best behavior, you will bring out the best in persons with whom you are going to spend most of your waking hours.

Some people get spiritual because they see the light and some people get spiritual because they feel the heat!

From The Corner Of My Mind

* It is going to be a beautiful Spring day........If the wind remains calm!
* At the time I was typing this, I don't know whether or not I will be working today. Hopefully I will get the call later.
* We brought some of that brisket home from the races in a gallon ziplock bag. I took some of it out and chopped it up to make sandwhiches last night. When I opened the bag, the smoke smell was ovewhelming. It nearly made me sick. I guess I had to much smoke over the weekend.
* While I was off last week, I had some AC companies come by and bid for a new AC to be installed in our home. Two of them were very close in pricing and explaining what they think I needed and what needed to be added or fixed. The other one was trying to play us like a fool. I don't understand how such a reputable company, that has worked in Wise County for years, would try to do that. Dons' AC from Bridgeport got the bid and will be installing our unit.
* I haven't seen Madison since last week. That is on the schedule today. I need some grandbaby loving.
* We have a Green Family cousin reunion every year. They moved the date to the same weekend that the race is scheduled on. My mother told me that over 50 people attended this year, and they had way to much food. I'm glad that they continue that tradition, although I doubt that I will make another one unless the dates change again.
* Here we go again.
* And again.
* There were a lot of funerals listed in the Update last week.
* My cousin from down south, that wears a badge and carries a gun, is coming along great in his recovery. He should be back at work in a week or two. He has had to sell his prize possesion due to his back injuries and condition. He sold his Harley. He is down about it, but i reminded him that I did the same thing last year. We are planning a wheel chair race for our 50th birthdays coming next year. If we cant ride our bikes, we will just race wheel chairs. Seems safer......
* It's time to get around and find something creative to do, see ya Around The Corner!

Don't know who the bidders were, but Mack Air out of Paradise did my house and their bid was significantly cheaper than Don's. They were also "Johnny on the spot" when I had to replace the compressor after a wildfire toasted it a few years ago.

I highly recommended Mack Air for anyone needing A/C work done.

Don's came out and replaced a circuit last year for 100 bucks. The next day a electrical storm came and blew out the same circuit. Don came out again, replaced it for nothing. Offered to pay for it and he just asked me to help someone else out next time who is having bad luck. I will call him from now on.
