Never be bullied into silence. Never allow yourself to be made a victim. Accept no one's definition of your life, but define yourself. Harvey S. Firestone

The people with whom you work reflect your own attitude. If you are suspicious, unfriendly and condescending, you will find these unlovely traits echoed all about you. But if you are on your best behavior, you will bring out the best in persons with whom you are going to spend most of your waking hours.

Some people get spiritual because they see the light and some people get spiritual because they feel the heat!

From The Corner Of My Mind

* Cloudy, overcast and 56 degrees on the drive over to Ponder this morning.
* I spent nearly the entire weekend working on the Jeep. Earlier this week we had the front end repaired, and there were multiple other little issues that needed attending to, so that is what I did. All day Saturday, and for the biggest part of Sunday.
* The Jeep is now back in top form for W-spouse. I still have an issue that I didn't have time to research. Sometimes we smell gas towards the rear where the fuel tank is located. It's not leaking onto the ground and there is no indication of leakage on the tank. I've read a few forums and it could possibly be that the vent line has detached somehow, and that is where the fumes are coming from. Next week, I will be working on that.
* The bracket that holds the radio in place had also broke, probably due to bouncing on the rocks, and I replaced it.  After finishing all the repairs I went and washed it, then brought it home where W-spouse and I detailed it inside and out. It was like brand new as of 6pm last night!
* W-spouse and I are headed to Fort Benning Georgia for the next few days to spend Family Days with W-stepson #3, and to have Thanksgiving dinner with him. We haven't decided yet whether we will be eating out at a restaurant or having dinner at the mess hall. We have been told that they go all out for the meal on Thanksgiving at the mess hall. We will leave it up to the Army man and see what he wants to do.
* We both have busy days at work today, so we haven't yet decided if we are leaving tonight and drive part of the way, or in the morning and drive straight through.
* Update on Cuz: He's ran a fever since Friday. It is yet to be determined why. They did chest x-rays and took blood and urine samples to try and figure it out. He's had a rough weekend, but was really happy to get to spend the time with JoAnna. I got to talk to him in length on Friday night and he was in good spirits, talking and conversing just like in the past. Even making jokes of the situation he is in. Friday he was to be completely off the ventilator. That doesn't mean that the trach will be removed, it just means that he is off the vent. Hopefully during Phase 2, when he returns to TIRR, they will remove the trach if possible.
* I can't explain how much the lead story in the Update saddens me. I pray that our family never has to deal with something like this.
* We watched Travis Patrana's Nitro Circus movie over the weekend. Those guys are nuts on anything with wheels. If you like fast "anything" and crazy stunts, it's worth the $5. There is one stunt in the movie where they jump a school bus between two earthen ramps that was great.
* Well, NASCAR is over for another year. From out of nowhere, Dodge triumphs over Ford and Chevy to take the Sprint Cup Championship with driver Brad Keselowski behind the wheel. The last race of the season wasn't quite as dramatic as the season ending race last year, where Tony Stewart and Carl Edwards raced to the last lap for a tie in the points and TS taking the Championship due to tie breaker rules. Brad Keselowski raced his own race yesterday, while Jimmy Johnson, who was 20 points behind at the drop of the green flag, just never could make up much ground.....and keep it. He finally dropped completely out of the race with a breakdown with about 60 laps left in the race. Brad K basically could have parked his car and won the trophy at that point. Oh, and the guy that I dislike, won the race. A race in which he should have never even be allowed to participate in in the first place. The awards ceremony in Vegas is in two weeks, and then we wait for February at Daytona to start it over again.
* IMessage was messed up yesterday, and the group text suffered because of it. We had to resort to just plain old text messaging. #firstworldpain
* Thanks for stopping by, see ya Around The Corner!
