* The weather the last few days has been marvelous.
* I moved dirt with the tractor in the backyard on Sunday and wore shorts. Needless to say, My legs were really red on Sunday night.
* I guess you know by the posts below what we did all day yesterday. I watched my nephew get his wings at the Air Force Academy in Colorado a long time ago, but yesterday was way more emotional. I guess when it's someone that you have helped raise, and has lived with you for a long time, it puts a whole different perspective on things. I can't remember where I was, or what I was doing when my sister was sworn in. I was probably doing something that entailed me caring more for myself than others back then.
* We are so proud that he has chosen this path and that he is so passionate about joining. We can only hope and pray now, that he will return back to us safe and sound. When he leaves in September, all we can do is trust in God to keep him safe.
* W-spouse did well yesterday. Tears fell a few times. September will be when it all hits home for her.
* We just had a huge fight take place on location. The following picture is evidence.
* Jersey Shore? No pun intended!
* That is the most stupid show in the history of ever.
* Tony Stewart won the race in Fontana over the weekend in a rain shortened race. He still won, fair and square by the rules set forth by the sanctioning body. Tony has now won 7 races out of the last 15 going back to last year. No small feat.
* I am in third place in the NASCAR fantasy league. Four points behind the leader.
* This week they travel to Martinsville for another short track race. Then next weekend they will have off for Easter. The week after that........it will be Texas Motor Speedway time. I can hardly wait.
* For those of you who asked about the trees and why we removed them. The root bases on both trees had risen to a height of about 11 inches higher than the patio slab and the carport slab. It had gotten to where water would not drain off of either place. The layout and drainage of the yard prevented us from just removing some dirt to allow it to drain, so both trees and root bases had to be removed. There is also a pool planned in the future (when, we don't know) so the trees would have to be removed then anyway.
* About the grass. We have had established St Augustine growing there before, in the full sun. Most of the backyard, after about 1-2pm starts receiving shade from the house. We didn't water it, and let most of it die last summer because we knew it would all have to be removed, when we took the trees out. Although I do like the Bermuda, I feel St Augustine would be better.
* Have a blessed Wednesday, see ya Around The Corner!

The people with whom you work reflect your own attitude. If you are suspicious, unfriendly and condescending, you will find these unlovely traits echoed all about you. But if you are on your best behavior, you will bring out the best in persons with whom you are going to spend most of your waking hours.
Some people get spiritual because they see the light and some people get spiritual because they feel the heat!
How do you know if you're truly a servant? See how you react the next time someone treats you like one.

Personally I prefer St. Augustine. Feels better on bare feet. :)
I'm boycotting TMS until they change their golf cart and security policy. If things go back to the way they were a few years ago I'll return. I invest too much money in going there to be treated like a criminal.
Short track coming up. Looks like a day for Super Jeff Gordon!
