Never be bullied into silence. Never allow yourself to be made a victim. Accept no one's definition of your life, but define yourself. Harvey S. Firestone

The people with whom you work reflect your own attitude. If you are suspicious, unfriendly and condescending, you will find these unlovely traits echoed all about you. But if you are on your best behavior, you will bring out the best in persons with whom you are going to spend most of your waking hours.

Some people get spiritual because they see the light and some people get spiritual because they feel the heat!

From The Corner Of My Mind

* Temperatures in the high 30s this morning. They should reach into the 70s over the next few days.
* W-spouse and I got to spend time with both of the grand kids yesterday evening.
* We then had a quiet dinner at Dos Chilis. Saw a few old friends while there.
* Sometimes when I see people/friends from the past, memories of those times just come flooding over me.
* Blogging may be slow this week.
* The highest speed on the fan motor in the Jeep stopped working. I've had that happen before on other vehicles, I just don't remember if it was a relay, resistor or switch.
* I do most of my banking online, and check my account every day. Sometimes twice daily. On those days when the banks are closed, it drives me nuts for it not to update.
* I also have a habit of checking the mail box knowing full well that it was a holiday.
* Oilfield work and ear rings don't mix.
* Some truck driver just walked by with a couple of shiny dangling ear rings hanging from his right ear.
* I don't get the "stretching the ear lobe thing" either. When I see people that have theirs stretched way out, to me it is shaped like a toilet seat hanging from both ears.
* To each his own.
* I'm sure people think my big belly looks weird also.
* There is something wrong/fishy with that story of about the girl that got kidnapped at gunpoint from the metro mess over the weekend.
* My mother probably thought that there was something wrong/fishy about a lot of my stories back in the day.
* She probably had good reason.
* Have a great day, see ya Around The Corner!

Why would I possibly think there was anything funny/fishy about your stories, didn't you always tell the truth? Still don't want to know! Mom

while i'm all about tats and piercings, i don't get the "stretch it all out" stuff either.... i mean, a little normal hole isn't so noticeable... what will these folks do later when work becomes important? can you imagine sitting across the interview table from some person who has a great big arse hole/loop hanging on the side of the head? i don't think i could stop from chuckling enough to be present in the question/answer interview ha

Those stretch things mystify me. What're they for?? Why do people want big holes in their ears?? Don't get it.

I hope you don't have your big belly button pierced - that would really be weird.
