Never be bullied into silence. Never allow yourself to be made a victim. Accept no one's definition of your life, but define yourself. Harvey S. Firestone

The people with whom you work reflect your own attitude. If you are suspicious, unfriendly and condescending, you will find these unlovely traits echoed all about you. But if you are on your best behavior, you will bring out the best in persons with whom you are going to spend most of your waking hours.

Some people get spiritual because they see the light and some people get spiritual because they feel the heat!

How do you know if you're truly a servant? See how you react the next time someone treats you like one.

From The Corner Of My Mind

* 60 degrees on the drive over this morning. It may hit 80 today before a cool down over the weekend.
* When I am doing the particular job that I am on right now I don't have time to blog much. Sorry.
* Today, I get to idle for a while.
* Sure as I said that, all sorts of things will go wrong shortly.
* The pump that I run at work lost all electrical power yesterday and I diligently worked on it for an hour trying to get it fixed. I was on the phone with one of our guys and he was instructing me where to look for these fuses. I couldn't find them, as hard as I tried. They came and loaded it up and took it to the shop. When they unloaded it and backed it into the shop, he had it fixed in three minutes. I knew that would happen. The fuses were right where he told me, but they were disguised in weather covers so they didn't look like a typical fuse link.
* We had a safety meeting at the office last night. Steaks, baked potatoes and green beans were served. Our secretary made a fruit salad that was fit for royalty. I had way to much of it. Let's just say, it wasn't diabetic friendly.
* Taken from my devotional this morning: "You need family and friends in hard times. When you lose your job, or your home, or your marriage, or your health, when suffering makes you feel isolated and lonely, you need the presence of God made real by his children".
* To my group text friends: I'm glad you were there the last few days. Your quick wit and humor have made me smile through a few rough days. Thank you.
* Update on Sophie the Labradoodle (smile at the Doodle). She is nearly housebroken. Very few accidents anymore. She will sit, shake on command, and I have been working with her when I can to fetch a ball. Most of the time she sleeps right between W-spouse and I.
* The tail light guards and seat covers arrived for the Jeep yesterday. I hope to install them this evening.
* W-spouse and I have discovered that at some point the Jeeps interior was painted black. There is evidence on the dash that it was tan. Wondering now, if it was painted to hide something, or they just wanted to change it to black??? I have read in a Jeep forum that some Jeeps had the interior painted (special order per customer). I just don't understand why would they paint it instead of just sending it out with a black interior.
* Either way, in time if it gets to looking bad we can replace the whole dash panel for less than $300.
* I generally receive between 200-300 emails a week. Most are either junk mail, jokes that friends and family send, or chat between others and myself. This week, there have been some great emails that I have shared with others. New things that I hadn't seen before, and some great Obama bashing material.
* Hope you have a marvelous Thursday, see ya Around The Corner!
