Never be bullied into silence. Never allow yourself to be made a victim. Accept no one's definition of your life, but define yourself. Harvey S. Firestone

The people with whom you work reflect your own attitude. If you are suspicious, unfriendly and condescending, you will find these unlovely traits echoed all about you. But if you are on your best behavior, you will bring out the best in persons with whom you are going to spend most of your waking hours.

From The Corner Of My Mind

* There is a very light drizzle in the air in Denton county. When I left Decatur it was foggy. Be careful on the roads this morning. Chance of thunderstorms today as the front passes back over us to the north.
* W-spouse has plantar fasciitis and is going to a specialist in Ft Worth this evening to get orthotics made to ease the pain and heal this problem. As a nurse, she is always on her feet and by the end of the day, she is miserable.
* I had it about 5 years ago. It started in my right foot, then it was in both feet. After wearing inserts and a boot to bed every night for a year, it finally went away. I still wear inserts in my work boots and tennis shoes. If you feel like you have a stone bruise on your heel all the time, you might want to get it checked.
* W-daughter commented on my A Time To Kill  post. Sure makes me proud of her.
* W-spouse and I stayed with Ava G yesterday evening for a while. That girl is growing up fast. She loves to give her Papa kisses on the cheek. Then I melt.
* The fires out west continue to burn this morning. It was reported that the big one is only 25% contained at daybreak today. So many houses have burned to the ground and so many people have suffered great losses in that fire.
* In times of tragedy or suffering I have asked God...Why? The devotional that I read each morning has been dealing with this issue all week. Why does God allow disasters?  I want to share a part of the devotional this morning.
((Natural disasters prove our mortality and expose our need for God. They can be a catalyst for deeper faith; Charles Spurgeon testified that he "never grew half so much as upon a bed of pain." Physical death is the gateway for believers to eternal life in paradise. In the meantime, when we help those who are victimized by tragedy, we demonstrate the reality of God's love in ours.)) Credit Jim.
* Hey, I posted yesterday that I got a raise. Not even one word of congrats? What's up with that? I wasn't boasting. I was somehow trying to relate that with the fact that I had turned it all over to God the day before and was, in my way, rewarded with some great news.
* I sure hope that there is enough evidence to find the person or persons who did this.
* Track me all you want. As long as  they keep it confidential and don't let W-spouse know about me stopping by those gentlemens clubs.
* I read on the Decatur High School marque(sp) that the Every 15 Minutes program was coming to the school in May. When I was a fireman in Bridgeport I helped put this program on over there for a few years. It was very thought provoking. Some of the kids stood around and laughed about it, others took it to heart. I remember one year a mother and father having to write their childs obituary for the program and both sat there in tears the whole time.
* I also remember Doug McWhorter  speaking to the children about the effects of drinking and driving. I wonder if  he still continues to put that program on.
* Gotta run, see ya Around The Corner!

And I'm really gathering government intel on terrorist!Oops, I spilled the beans, cats out of the bag, are you really sure I work as an RN in the OR? I mean I do have incredible ninja skills. LOL
Have a great day!

The Every 15 Minutes program is a great thing. From the parent of 3 young people, thank you for your part in doing the program. The pride that you have in your kids is probably only surpassed by their pride in you and Whit. As for your raise, congrats but don't spend it in those gentlemen's clubs. Besides, I've always wanted a rich friend in case I'm ever financially embarrassed, like today. Can I get lunch money?

My dear Squaw, I apologize for that. Honestly, I never got it, or deleted it by mistake. I was working mainly from the Iphone yesterday and may have not gotten it. Send it again and I will post it, I have never not posted anything of yours my dear friend!!

Roll the ball of your foot around on a tennis ball 2Xday and put Dr Scholl's off the shelf inserts in the shoes your wear the longest and the p-f goes away.
I continue to wear the insets in all but dress shoes, which I don't wear much, and no problem for 20 yrs.

Answers.....I got you covered, just tell them to add it to my tab.
Ratherbesailin....She rolls a softball around under her foot all the time. No relief yet, hopefully the special orthotics will.
JJ....Looking into it
Janneba....Your to nice, thanks for the kind words everyday. I don't think our problem will ever go away as long as idiots are alive.

And finally W-spouse.....those ninja skills never cease to amaze me. Especially the running triple back flip off the wall onto the kitchen table.

Congrats to the raise! I thought it at the time...does that count? ;-)

Janneba is a really neat person. =) I love reading her comments.

Poor W-Spouse....*hugs*

That Apple tracking business creeps me out. So Big Brother.

Congrats! A raise today is indeed a miracle. Thank you Lord. If WSpouse is bouncing off walls I wonder why?? Love to you both!

Like Angry Squaw, I too sent a congrats post, but it did not get accepted. Not sure if it was my Apple or yours, but I am very excited for your raise. You are one of the hardest working people I have ever known and Lord knows you deserve to be compensated. You definitely play hard, but work twice as hard. You have said many, many kind words to Jim and I about our recent blessings, that I would be very amiss to not congratulate you and tell you how much I love you.

Didn't read about your raise until this evening, so here's a big ATTABOY & congrats for you. Know you have more than earned whatever you got, as you take on more responsibility & you are such a hard worker. Proud of you. Mo
