I've only been boating on Lake Bridgeport and while I enjoy it, it's becoming too busy. I fear that our quaint, everyone knows everyone lakehood is changing, and not welcomed in my opinion. The thing I have enjoyed the most about raising my family in Wise County is that even if there's no name recognition when you see someone there is most often face recognition with a hey, how's it going. That has always given me comfort and a strong since of community. I understand that sounds small minded and change is inevitable, just don't want that to be the reality of Lake Bridgeport.
Rant over!
Have a great day!

Lake Murval, is that too far away?

Don't really have one. Kind of afraid of lake water. Can't see what's down there.....=) Although, the Fam & Friends are returning to Lake Limestone for a 2nd year in a row. We like it. I'm still afraid of what's in the water though.....I scream when fish nibble at me. [blush]

Me and my real dad fished on Lake Murval a few times. That was when I used to fish for Bass, now it's just Crappie, when I get the chance to go.

Any lake high in the Sierras that has wild trout in it and water so clear you can see way down deep into it. Oh, wait, not within 75 miles. Oops...

OK, our front pond. Some of the best fishing around hehe

Surprised at no votes for PK, though at about 85 miles from FTW, it may be pushing the distance a bit.

I like the cliffs.

Ok, I'm catching all kinds of hell from the spouse for not saying Eagle Mountain (which is where we live).

Kathleen, we do NOT get in the water, we stay in the boat!! I have this thing about being able to see my feet when in water. My kids toes have never touched lake water!! I'm weird like that!!
