Happy Birthday Cole Selby

Cole,
 6 years ago you were a little chunky 5th grader that your mother was trying real hard to raise. You have now grown into a 6'3" 220 pound man. I came into your life 6 years ago and took on the responsibility of helping to raise you. Helping you to try to make the right decisions in life. Helping you to learn right from wrong and the many other things as parents we try to teach our children. I'm not always very good at that, and sometimes go about it in all the wrong ways, and for that I am truly sorry. Today I see that helping you find a church home in a great youth group and supporting that group has helped you become a better person. A more mature person. I can only hope and pray that in the future a seed has been planted that will continue in your heart for a long time, and that you will see that there is peace and truthfullness in the word of God. It is my prayer today that as you continue on in life that you will strive each day to be a better man, an honest person, and a forgiving person. I know that someday you will follow in the footsteps of your brothers and become a great father, husband and friend to others. I can only hope that you will look back someday and have the same respect and admiration for me as I do for Papa Harold.
