* 60 degrees this morning. It's very humid and muggy. Wind is out of the south. Temps are supposed to be in the 70s all week.
* W-spouse went to therapy yesterday and found out that she had pulled a muscle. The therapist worked on it and she rode the bike for a while. She said it was better last night.
* The friend that I work with whose wife was so sick is still in the hospital. They removed the vent yesterday and were putting in a trach tube when one of her lungs collapsed, which according to the doctors was not abnormal given the condition of her lungs. I talked to him late yesterday and she was stable and doing a little better
* I stopped by and saw Madison yesterday for a few minutes and got to play with her. I wanted to just stay there with her all day and I would have been happy.
* We watched Faster last night. The cars were good, the shootouts were good, Billy Bob Thorton was ok, the rest of the movie was 1 star. Near WWF status.
* I watched Sling Blade during the day yesterday while W-spouse was napping. An incredible performance by Billy Bob. If you get the chance to watch it on DVD, be sure and watch the extra scenes and the making of the movie. You will have a complete different perspective on the movie.
* I think the rule of thumb when I was a firefighter was that you had to be aggressively attacking a trailer house fire within 5 minutes of ignition to be able to save it or salvage anything. I don't remember fighting fire in any fully involved trailer houses that were saved. If so, there wasn't much.
* Every Tuesday is a "Fat Tuesday" for me.
* I have never been to New Orleans for Mardi Gras, but that is on the Bucket List.
* An Iranian woman spoke at our church this past Sunday morning. She spoke of Iran and her mission work there. Her parents escaped the Iran Revolution in 1979 and came to America. She was born here and is now a teacher at Prarie View Elementary. I found what she talked about to be personally interesting and captivating. I need to be more educated about Muslims.
* I probably need to be more educated about everything to be honest.
* W-daughter #2 came and got the TV that we replaced yesterday and is going to have it fixed or watch it like it is. I saw her for maybe 5 minutes while she was at the house. I would like to see her more........and longer. I truly miss seeing her.

I was a San Angelo Firefighter/Paramedic. We went to a trailer fire just outside city limits. We had 2 pumpers, 500 gal. each. Had the fire knocked down almost to overhaul stage. Ran out of water and sent one truck to a hydrant maybe 1/4 mile away. About then a front moved thru and the winds were gusting to 35. We just stood there with our jaws hanging, the trailer was fully involved by the time the 1st pumper got back. I've never seen something burn to the ground so quickly.

i can't recall any trailer fire i've dispatched for or investigated being salvaged... they are like a bon fire soaked in accelerant .... poof!
Thanks folks, much better today, getting the ball rolling to go back to work. I want to because I love what I do, I don't want to because I love what I've gotten to do - spend alot of time with my gbabies.

Pray for the christians in Iran, that they will one day be able to worship freely and openly.
Wson #2 is leaving today for west Texas with a Strike team of firefighters to assist in that area, will be there 3 days. Lord protect our firefighters and give them strength and wisdom. Amen
