EDIT: For all the elederly folks that may not get the joke in this cartoon, let me splain. The old guy(note the Kakis pulled way up high, note the bald spot, note the overweight look to him) is walking his dog and has been taking a break sitting/setting on the bench. A vibrant young woman comes jogging by and he spots her. He jumps up and says "where is Cupid when you need him"? Now look clearly and you may spot Cupid stuck in the crack of his pants. He had set on him and kilt him and wasn't even aware because he's so old and probably lost his mind because he sets/sits around and reads blogs all day! I hope this clears up the confusion for my elderly reader.......uhhhh readers!
* 40-45 on the ride over. It's going to be another beautiful day.
* Don't forget to get your significant other something and to wish them a Happy Valentines day!
* W-pouse and I started yesterday off having breakfast at the Peppermill Diner on the square in Decatur. Great place to eat.
* We then went to Sunday School and church. After church it was napping and TV time.
* Our friend that the prayers were requested for is doing better. Last night they had weaned her off of the BP meds and were trying to wean her off the ventilator machine. Her BP was stable and her fever was normal. The Doctors were also lowering the sedative and trying to wake her. She had another surgery around noon on Sunday to wash out the wound. The blood culture showed that it was a staph infection and not MRSA. That was a prayer answered. She is scheduled for the final surgery on Tuesday. She is not out of the woods yet. Thank you so much for the prayers.
* When she recovers, I will make sure that she knows that she had Gods help through the power of prayer.
* While visiting her at the hospital Saurday night, we got to see some family members of hers that I haven't seen in 15 years. It was good seeing them and catching up.
* If you listened to KBOC in Bridgeport when it was on the air at night, then you have probably heard her voice. She was a DJ on KBOC at night for a long time. She also did a lot of commercials and Promos.
* It was such a beautiful day yesterday. Only in Texas!
* If it stays this warm all week, you will see some trees and plants try to bloom. They will get bit back also, never fails.
* I need to get out and get to work. Have a Happy Valentines day and see ya Around The Corner!

I'm so glad to hear that your friend seems to be doing better. Worked all weekend and this is the first I had heard of it, I'm sorry. Prayers are with her and her family.

Ok, I can make out the little Cupid figure now but there has to be some other reason that he's stuck in there other than hunger. 9:28, don't even respond on the hunger deal. I can't remember ever spending so much time looking at the back of a guy's pants. This is all your fault, Corner.
That still doesn't splain WTH this old guy is able to get his massive butt cheeks around a lightening fast fairy like Cupid. Wait a minute....does it have anything to do with Cupid being a fairy?

Not to get all techie on this but MRSA is a staph infection. It is a strain of staph that is resistant to almost all antibiotics. The numbers of occurrence are skyrocketing. A lot of them occur after surgeries, especially when plates and the like are used. A lot more happen in locker rooms. It usually requires IV antibiotics and an in hospital stay. Google it, its pretty terrifying, a bacterial infection that doesn't respond to anything we have available.
