Question Of The Day

I have recieved an Ipad for Christmas and have purchased many different versions of the Bible for it. If you have one, or plan on getting one, or something similar like an electronic reader, would you carry it to church? Do you have an issue with it not being an actual Bible? Is it an actual Bible?

Our pastor uses an ipad during church service. He uses it for his notes and to access the bible. I don't see anything wrong with taking yours to church.

I say take the ipad. As long as the other stuff will not distract you.

You are good to go, my friend.

I have the "Holy Bible" app for my iphone and at first was very skeptical of using it. I was pretty self conscious thinking people would just think I was texting or something but now I REALLY REALLY like it. I have played with the app quite a bit and now that I know how to use the notes and highlighter functions, I have found myself going back over sermons during the week and rereading the scriptures. I really like it and really see no problem with it.

NO SURFING IN CHURCH!

Off hand, I'll be perfectly honest: I'd see you and probably shake my head...."Well, I never!" =) Now, however, if I see a guy/girl with her iPad at church, I'll pause and assume it's for the Bible app-use.

I'm a traditionalist....I love the weight of my Bible, the thin vellum-like pages and gilded edges. I also have to be able to highlight the Scripture reading. It's a habit.

I'm habitually habitual. ;-)

Gotta sorta chime in with Obi.

My middle son has a Bible app on his iPod, and frequently checks out Scripture references during the message.

I, on the other hand, being in my advancing years sort of a neo-Luddite (but I did transcribe some vinyl to MP3 over the weekend), am content to use my yellow hi-liter on the pages of my NIV.

I think iPads & Kindles and other e-readers will pretty soon be very commonplace in church.
