I bought my own first car. It was a 1974 orange and white Gremlin.

My first car was a light blue 1986 Plymouth Horizon that my Dad gave me. I loved that little car....=)

My Dad gave me a 1950 Dodge when I was 15. I rolled it after I got my license. Not a scratch on it or me (before seat belts). It was solid steel and built like a tank.

I had a 1966 Mustang. Drove the wheels off it, passed to my brother, in the process of returning to original condition. Great car.

I worked for two summers building barns and exercising horses in training for my dad in order to earn my first car. It was a 1974 Firebird. All white leather interior, which I hated at the time. Now I wish I had that sucker, like a savings account! hehe

White 1980 Mercedes 240D. 3 white hub caps and one black...no mistaking me driving down the road! Would have been fine, but it was 1991! POS!

A beaten up '68 F-100 with a 6 cyl, no radio, no a/c, 4speed and bright yellow paint.
It produced very little Grex but a lot of hay hauling to pay for one that would.

1961 Plymouth Valiant, pushbutton automatic, with the cornering capability of a pig on skates rounding an icy curve. Fortunately it died before it succeeded in killing me.

A blue Ford Mustang. I hated that car. Every time it rained, snowed or anything to do with water the stupid thing wouldn't start. That sucked cuz cruising the streets of B'port was so important back then.

'68 Chrysler Newport, 4-doors, black vinyl roof. 383 Mopar.

My dad had bought it about a year earler, not running, from a guy at work, put new (recap) tires, plugs, wires, rebuilt the carb, etc to get it in good running shape. He loaned it to a former employee's family returning from an overseas assignment for about 6 months (as we already had enough cars), then sold it to me for exactly what he had in it, $385, on my 16th birthday.

Loved that car. Since the in-dash radio was oddly-shaped, I couldn't put a new sound system there. Instead, I built the coolest custom console stack (over the transmission hump), with an FM-Cassette receiver, 8-track player, and 23 channel CB.

Yeah, it was the old days - almost hit a dinosaur once that wandered into the road...

1967 Chevy C10 Custom 327 w/ 3 speed on the tree. Man I loved that pickup! Then a drunk driver killed it, but thankfully didn't kill me. That old pickup saved my life. They don't make 'em like that anymore, and that's sad.
