Never be bullied into silence. Never allow yourself to be made a victim. Accept no one's definition of your life, but define yourself. Harvey S. Firestone

The people with whom you work reflect your own attitude. If you are suspicious, unfriendly and condescending, you will find these unlovely traits echoed all about you. But if you are on your best behavior, you will bring out the best in persons with whom you are going to spend most of your waking hours.

Some people get spiritual because they see the light and some people get spiritual because they feel the heat!

How do you know if you're truly a servant? See how you react the next time someone treats you like one.

* Rain is in the forecast for the next few days. I'm going to get wet, no doubt about it.
* It's raining here now.
* That was the shortest three day weekend that I have ever experienced.
* 10 years ago you could spend a holiday weekend at Lake Bridgeport and not have to worry about other boat traffic. Now, you better watch every move you make. I remember driving across the Lake Lewisville bridge back then and observing the madness on that lake. It's no different on Lake Bridgeport now.
* It's amazing how people turn their children loose on a PWC (personal water craft) that runs at speeds up to 70mph without taking a water safety course or any other training. I've also observed numerous teenagers, and adults operating boats in a discourteous and unsafe manner.
* Remember that I said this. "There WILL be a bad accident on Lake Bridgeport in the very near future".
* If your wondering, I really don't think alcohol will be the factor in it either. I firmly believe it will be lack of experience and training.
* Unfortunately I have witnessed a few first hand already, and I don't care to see it again.
* I hear people complain about our lake patrols and game wardens all the time. I say "We need more".
* RANT OVER!
* It was raining a few minutes ago, now its coming a flood.
* We played Bocce Ball with the General this weekend. Google it. I had fun and will get a set in the future.
* I haven't picked up my guitar in a week. I'm a slacker.
* If you like Texas Country, you will like Ryan Bingham and the Dead Horses band. His has a distinct tone and sound to his voice that you will either like or hate. I like it and this is my blog, so I will plug it.

* Cousin from down south that carries a gun legally and wears a badge, and I poured some concrete steps down to the dock for Papa this weekend. My neices (i before e except after c) put their handprints in it when we got it finished out. Looking around at other sidewalks and areas that we have poured over the years, I came across one that my girls had put their hands in back in 1997.
* In the next few years I'm going to pour something else so that my grandbaby can do the same. Hopefully very near the spot where her mothers prints are.
* W-brother in law has a very nice, low hour, PWC for sale. It has a crack in a manifold that either needs to be welded or have a new one put on. He has it for sale at a very low price. It is in excellent shape and the overall condition I would say is near new. Ping me here if interested.
* I don't want one for the reasons stated above.
* W-stepson took delivery on his new ride over the weekend. It's a standard shift and he picked up the shifting very easily. It's a very nice ride and he has already burned a tank of gas through it. I will try to get a picture up later.
* W-spouse told me that I should have never mentioned that I graduated with honors because my grammar, punctuation and spelling were horrible.
* That was 30 years ago. I'm thinking about giving her a test in Algebra tonight. Willing to bet she's no better at that than I am in blog writing ;-)
* Time to put on the slicker suit, see ya Around The Corner!
