* Back at home now, with everything put away. Laundry is in the machines and whirling away. We all jumped on the yard when we got in and had the yard manicured very quickly. Time to rest for a while.
* Stopped by Wallyworld on the way home and bought a new Weedeater. It started first pull and ran great. Hoping that trend continues.
* Had a houseful of relatives and friends at the lake this weekend and it was great getting to see a few cousins from Houston that I haven't gotten to see in 3-4 years.
* One of those cousins just got back from a 90 day trip over seas. Europe, Africa and such. She's 24 and went on this trip alone, she also totally funded this trip herself. She booked the trip through a travel agency and made many friends while there. She zip lined over enormous canyons and petted Lions. She said she will never forget her experiences.
* Friday night while we were at the ballgame, she was on her way up from Houston and we had sent her a text telling her to make sure and shake the sheets on the beds and check for Scorpions. She replied " I just camped in Africa for 30 days, I got this". I suppose she was right!
* Sunday night while sitting down by the water with about 15 family members, we started quizing a Great Aunt of mine that has reached the grand age of 80. Her sight is failing but her memory is sharp as a tack. She told stories of going to church in a wagon, cultivating peanut fields with a Mule team, not having toilet facilities or running water till she was 25, harvesting peanuts and many other stories that kept us captivated for about 3 hours.
* This winter I plan on capturing those stories and many others on video. They are treasured moments that I want to keep forever.
* I had to start working very early in my life, and I don't regret a minute of it and the life experiences that I have learned. I do regret not going to college and pursuing a higher level of education.
* I graduated with honors, suprisingly so!
* There were only 21 in our class and only 19 graduated.
* We also didn't have a football team.
* It was weird staying in the lakehouse and not in our RV. It's been a few years since I've actually slept in there.
* The lake has cooled off a lot since last weekend. Enough that it was uncomfortable till you got used to it.
* Gotta catch up on some Tivo, see ya Around The Corner!

The people with whom you work reflect your own attitude. If you are suspicious, unfriendly and condescending, you will find these unlovely traits echoed all about you. But if you are on your best behavior, you will bring out the best in persons with whom you are going to spend most of your waking hours.

Another Wallyworld weed whacker? What??? So they sail better when you get frustrated and throw them? ;-)
This one is lighter Jonni. I might be able to get it over in the neighbors yard :)
