* PRAYER: Lord if it's your will, let today be a better day, Amen.
* We will be attending a Civil War re-enactment over at Jacksboro State park this weekend. I have never been much of a Civil war buff, so I'm going with an open mind. I think it will be interesting.
* Were not participating, just watching.
* While over west of the Sandy creek last night I observed a very heavy thunderstorm pounding Decatur. When I went home there was water running everywhere and I noticed the sign at Burger King had blown down.
* Some people that live down the street from us have had their houses flooded numerous times in the last 2 years.
* When I was a child, around 7ish, my family had taken a trip out west to Garner State Park. While setting up camp in the evening we observed lightning over the mountains around us. I remember getting awaken and everyone scrambling around. My two older uncles were with us and one of them grabbed me and put me in the back of the pickup. I also remember a loaf of bread floating by as he carried me to the truck. We got the camper hooked up and made it out of there. The next morning I looked out and we were parked in a gas station parking lot in the middle of nowhere with about 10 other campers.
* Everytime I pass a low water marker on the side of the road I remember that event.
* There are people that are on Facebook that say some weird things. I suppose you have to know their thoughts and situations at that time.
* I got asked over the weekend, "Why would you want to put your thoughts on a blog"? I look at it differently. It's a place to vent, a place to think, a place where I can write things that are on my mind that I wouldn't get the chance to say to anyone. Actually I have found it to be therapeutical.
* Thats a big word that I had to look on Wikipedia to spell.
* I left the "e" out behind the "p".
* I stopped at a local fruit stand by our location and purchased some fruit for my rig hands yesterday. I also bought some "tuna". Not as in tuna fish. Tuna, as in cactus. It's a pear shaped part of the cactus bloom that is really quite sweet with a lot of seeds inside.
* I did not know that prior to my purchase. The lady asked me to try it and I did. She made the sell.
* You might have just learned something today.
* See, I feel better already, see ya Around The Corner!
* Edit: The Tuna has a very sweet taste, nearly like a melon. It has a texture similar to a pear. There are a lot of seeds inside. You slice both ends off and then make a cut from end to end down one side. Peel back the thick skin to reveal the fruit inside. If you are near the Buisness 287 cut off to Saginaw, there is a fruit stand on the west corner that sells them. Thanks for all the nice comments, I appreciate it!
